This summer, get a head start and earn college credit at Georgetown. Our Summer College courses ease your transition into the college learning environment through a blend of lectures, class discussions, and featured guest speakers. You’ll have the opportunity to take classes with current undergraduate students, learn from prestigious Georgetown faculty, and engage in challenging coursework that will prepare you for success in college and beyond. Choose from our approved list of five-week on-campus courses, eight-week online courses, or opt to do a combination of both. Upon completion of your course(s), you will have access to an official transcript from Georgetown University.

In Georgetown's Medical Immersion Academy, you'll get a snapshot of a first-year medical school curriculum while learning from Georgetown University School of Medicine faculty and medical students. You’ll study topics ranging from cell biology and pathology to immunology, cardiology, and endocrinology, and you will learn the science of how human body systems work. You’ll also explore fundamentals of emergency medicine such as the steps in physical examinations, positioning and extracting, wound care, control of bleeding, stitches and suturing, control of bleeding, airway management, CPR, oxygen administration, medication administration, usage of stents, and splinting.

In Georgetown's Forensic Investigation Academy, you'll gain a firsthand look at the world of forensic investigation from professionals in the field—including investigators, detectives, crime scene technicians, and pathologists. Topics covered will include crime scene diagramming, evidence collection, criminal investigative process, and video forensic analysis, to the ethical dimensions of issues faced by today’s criminal investigative professionals. Various exercises, class interaction, case studies, lectures, discussions, mock crime scene creation, and examination have been developed to provide exposure to Criminal Forensic investigation. Test your critical thinking skills by identifying and interpreting the evidence as you explore the application of science and medicine in law enforcement.

The National Security & Intelligence Academy brings together unparalleled government and international relations resources from the Georgetown network to explore security and intelligence issues. You'll gain a deeper understanding of how policies enhance the security of Americans in the post-9/11 world, study how the United States prevents foreign adversaries from gaining access to national security information, and examine how intelligence information is collected, analyzed, and disseminated.
