ROCK CLIMBING SUMMER CAMPS

This summer, get a head start and earn college credit at Georgetown. Our Summer College courses ease your transition into the college learning environment through a blend of lectures, class discussions, and featured guest speakers. You’ll have the opportunity to take classes with current undergraduate students, learn from prestigious Georgetown faculty, and engage in challenging coursework that will prepare you for success in college and beyond. Choose from our approved list of five-week on-campus courses, eight-week online courses, or opt to do a combination of both. Upon completion of your course(s), you will have access to an official transcript from Georgetown University.

Make your college application stand out from the crowd through our College Prep Program. In this five-week program, students may take one or two university courses alongside current Georgetown undergraduates, learn from renowned Georgetown faculty, and earn college credit. Throughout the program, you’ll also attend College Prep Seminars, where you’ll master test-taking strategies for the SAT and ACT, prepare for the college search and admissions process, and develop valuable skills that will help you succeed in college and beyond.

Although there is an underlying universality to the basic principles of business, the application of these principles presents unique challenges to those involved in international business. The Global Business Academy is designed to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of global business. In the program, you’ll explore current drivers of international business including the globalization of business linking markets, companies, and financial markets; the growth and importance of technology; and the emergence of national economies. You’ll also examine institutions important in international business including the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Trade Organization. Georgetown's Global Business Academy introduces you to the ins and outs of the business world. Combining investment challenges and group presentations with dynamic faculty lectures and case studies, our program prepares you with the practical skills and critical thinking abilities that will benefit you in your future academic and professional endeavors

Explore the advantages and challenges of managing your own enterprise in the Entrepreneurship Academy. Our two-week program takes an in-depth look at choosing a start-up, prototype testing, market research, social innovation, global business, and the operations of running your own business. You will have opportunities to hear from and interact with experienced entrepreneurs across different industries to learn about what it takes to become successful in any career path.

The 1-Week Medical Academy introduces you to the field of medicine and gives you a glimpse into the Georgetown University Medical Center, which includes the nationally ranked School of Medicine and School of Nursing & Health Studies, in addition to the world-renowned Lombardi Cancer Center. You'll explore topics ranging from human anatomy, physiology, and radiology to surgery, cancer, biomedical ethics, and procurement of human tissues. You’ll participate in hands-on labs, including suturing, orthopedic casting, small mammal dissection, and use of a patient simulator. You will have the opportunity to interact directly with current medical students, Georgetown University School of Medicine faculty, and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital physicians to learn about the path to becoming a physician, discover ways to succeed in medical school, and explore a variety of medical specialties.

This three-day camp with an optional overnight campout offers girls the chance to immerse themselves in the great outdoors, complete hands-on activities, and earn their Outdoor Journey requirements.

Girls will dive into seaside fun with splashy water play, learn the hula, and create ocean-inspired arts and crafts.
