Earn-A-Bike@GraniteCityLibrary

Earn-A-Bike is a free, hands-on class that teaches basic bicycle maintenance and safety along with life skills including communication, teamwork and responsibility to children ages 8 to 17 who already know how to ride a bike. After completing six two-hour classes, participants earn a bicycle of their choosing, plus a brand-new helmet, light set and lock they take home on the last day. Youth who commit to this series under the guidance of dedicated BWorks instructors will meet at Six Mile Regional Library District's 2001 Delmar Ave branch in Granite City, Illinois, for six Saturday afternoons at 1 p.m. (with each class ending at 3 p.m.) from June 6 to July 18 (note that there will be no class on the 4th of July). Up to two children from within a single household can be registered within the same cohort; two per household is the limit.
