Comets, planets, stars and more are all waiting to be discovered. Learn about the four forces of flight, the challenges of space travel, and even participate in a rocket launch!

4 nights/ 5 day overnight camping experience for those entering 4th grade or 5th grade

Our Summer Academy offers academic enrichment courses in mathematics, science, written and oral communication, career research, personal and professional development and activities that support college planning. The Bridge Program Summer Academy is held from mid-June to mid-July for students in grades 9 through 10. Classes meet weekly on UMSL's campus Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Stanford Middle School Scholars Program (SMSSP) prepares students for a rigorous high school education with a three-week online summer course, and weekly online after-school meetings during fall. The program serves low-income students in grades 6 or 7 who reside in and attend school in the United States.

Inspired learning today - healthy futures tomorrow! Camp participants will roleplay the key responsibilities of a doctor and learn about vital organs in the human body. These future doctors will learn how to use a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, and reflex hammer. They will practice administering first aid, learn how pharmacists play a role in administering medications, and more!

Step into the big leagues! Participants will discover the all-star team behind their favorite athletes! From physical therapists to nutritionists, get a peek at how the pros stay in top shape. Plus, learn how to treat common sports injuries and stay extra hydrated. We'll even delve into Tommy John Surgery!

A great introduction to game logic, layout, design, and play, play, play! Maybe the most fun and innovative camps of the summer. Perennially, our most popular camp over the past 10 years. Direct from the laboratories at MIT, with Scratch students design and compose their own world and gaming environments, and then use Scratch visual coding to create their own interactive stories, games, and animations. When complete the children can publish their creations and share them with others in the online community and download any of the hundreds of thousands of games produced by others. A truly unique visual environment that opens the doors to logic, coding and “design thought” for even the youngest learners. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century. Participants investigate the how, why and fun of computer programming in this interactive camp, all within a comfortable, non-intimidating visual environment. Students will engage in problem solving strategies and create their own unique games, animations and interactive stories using logic concepts such as Cartesian coordinates, variables, decisions, and iterative processes. No prior programming experience required – basic keyboarding ability and nothing more. Camp attendees must bring their own computer; Windows or Apple / Mac work equally well. iPads can work but there is functionality (key up, key down, other keyboard events) that will not work, and can be “glitchy” with Scratch.
