This equine camp is for you! Become a vet for a week and learn all about the care and maintenance of a horse. Take an oath and use real medical tools to keep your newly adopted plush horse happy and healthy. After learning about horse anatomy, riding styles, and nutrition you can ride into the sunset with your diploma. Giddyup!

Camp participants will tackle big questions like "What does it take to be a doctor?" and "How do you deal with life-threatening emergencies?" They'll learn about the key responsibilities of a doctor and how to administer first aid in emergency situations. These future heroes will learn about lung disease, how to perform CPR and Heimlich maneuver, broken bones, hypothermia, how to use a stethoscope, snake bites, discuss the steps to becoming a doctor, and more. 

Bring your favorite Minecraft adventures to life with our enthusiastic Play-Well instructors. In a Minecraft world powered by LEGO® resources, we will build shelters to keep out Creepers, craft mystical items that only true masters can wield, and perfect our crossbow skills to stop the Wither from taking over! If you can imagine it, we can build it.

Campers use creative and collaborative skills to design a mission patch, train like an astronaut and solve real-world engineering problems using spinoff technology, just like NASA astronauts working together on a mission. They propose answers to questions like "How could space suit cooling tubes be used to solve a problem here on Earth?

Roll up your sleeves, put on your makers cap, and get ready to create! This is our most hands-on camp! Together, campers will build a geodesic dome large enough to sit in. Who can build the strongest bridge? Can your bridge withstand the shake rattle and roll challenge? Explore the world of birds and beasts with bird feeder building and our super bug investigation. Speaking of birds, what did Hooty the owl have for dinner? A mouse? A Squirrel? A Frog? Kids will dissect owl pellets and reconstruct Hooty’s dinner. Enter the Mad Science chemistry lab and mix, mash, and brew concoctions to create cool sidewalk chalk and bath fizzers! Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults, simple machines, and megapinchers! Campers will discover the wonders of photography and make their own chromatography-dyed T-shirt. It’s a week packed with non-stop science fun!

Wolf Camp campers will meet on-site from 9 am – 3 pm on of their chosen camp week. Several week-long summer day camp sessions will be available.

Bricks 4 Kidz classes provide an extraordinary atmosphere for children, where we learn, we build, we play… with LEGO® Bricks. Programs are built around our proprietary model plans, designed by engineers and architects, with exciting themes such as space, construction, and amusement parks.

We'll start with the basics: From decoding messages to metal detector and night vision, campers have the opportunity to check out spy tech equipment and take home lots of gadgets like spy glasses! Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! Figure out the science of forensics in a hands-on look at crime scenes! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on investigation of the science that spies use! Before and After-care is available at an addition cost through the Brentwood Parks and Recreation.

Join us for the Mad Science Make It Camp session at the 2024 Summer at SLU Camp.

Designed for our youngest Ninjas ages 8+, this Camp gives Ninjas the opportunity to use micro: bit microcontrollers and Makey Makey circuit boards to create interactive games that combine electronics, sensors, sounds, and more. Ninjas will spend the week harnessing the power of code and designing games to present a final Carnival for all Ninjas and their families to enjoy!
