Roll up your sleeves, put on your makers cap, and get ready to create! This is our most hands-on camp! Who can build the strongest bridge? Can your bridge withstand the shake rattle and roll challenge? Explore the world of birds and beasts. Discover what Hooty the owl had for dinner? Kids will dissect owl pellets and reconstruct Hooty’s dinner. Enter the Mad Science chemistry lab and mix, mash, and brew concoctions! Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults, simple machines, and megapinchers! Campers will discover the wonders of light and photography. It’s a week packed with non-stop science fun!

From sea creatures of the deep to phoenixes in the sky, every society has its legends and lore. We’ll tell their stories through paintings, sculptures and other works of art. These legends may inspire awe, curiosity or surprise, but they all inspire our imaginations!

Give your preschooler a green thumb without using paint! Campers will learn about plants by dissecting seeds, making leaf rubbings and creating frameable fruit and veggie prints. Learn what types of weather are vital for a healthy garden. Put on your Bee-utiful Bug Costume and flutter by the camp as you learn about one of a flower's favorite pollinators! Come see what the buzz is all about!

Join us for a fun and engaging week where campers will discover fascinating science concepts through play! From building with blocks to experimenting with Slinkys, each day campers will explore key ideas from biology, physics, and more by playing with familiar toys and games. They’ll learn about gravity, balance, motion, energy, and how living things grow, all while playing with toys. Campers will discover how play helps their brains grow and learn. Through interactive lessons, they’ll understand the science of play and how it supports brain development, creativity, and problem-solving. This camp is perfect for curious kids who love to play and want to know more about how the world works—all while having a blast!

Explore transportation by crafting planes, trains, and cars. Activities include toy car races, paper airplane challenges, and creating a giant transportation mural.

Explore enchanted woods with fairy tales, mythical creatures, and forest-themed crafts. Activities include making fairy houses, leaf rubbings, and a scavenger hunt.

Experience art and nature through play, hands-on projects, and exploration of the Park. Young artists have fun learning through age-appropriate lessons while exploring their own interests and questions. Weekly activities include guided art projects, trail walks, creek exploration, loose parts play, building structures, reading, group games, and sketchbook time. Little Buds Art Camps are based outdoors on the covered Carriage House deck, with some time spent inside the Aronson Fine Arts Center.

Celebrate the power of play in artmaking this week! We’ll play with our materials to make lively compositions, design unique games, make our own entertaining toys and cozy stuffies, and experiment with different forms of movement. The Park is our creative playground! Note: This is a 4-day session due to the holiday. The Family Art Walk will take place on Thursday, July 3. See the Family Handbook for more details.
