This course is an introduction to modern band performance styles (rock, pop, hip hop, R&B, etc.) and instrument techniques (keyboard, guitar, electric bass, drum kit, vocals). Course topics will be demonstrated through interactive lectures, guided practice, ensemble rehearsals, performances, and group assignments. No previous experience is required. All musical preferences and ability levels are welcome.

Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! Figure out the science of forensics in a hands-on look at crime scenes! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on investigation of the science that spies use! Before and After-care is available at an addition cost through the Brentwood Parks and Recreation.

Come and “tinker” with us! Campers will design, build, concoct, and discover as they explore a variety of materials and tinker the day away. Tinkering encourages creative and flexible thinking, problem solving and cooperative learning with friends. AND IT’S FUN! Campers will enjoy weekly challenges to experiment with various materials to design works of art, build structures using loose parts, concoct potions and edible investigations, and discover the natural world guided by their curiosity. Campers will create IDEA journals to record their “tinker” creations.
