Get ready to blast off into the world of rockets and discover the amazing science behind them. You'll become a rocket safety superstar by learning all about the model rocket safety code. You'll also uncover the secrets of how rockets soar through the sky, stay perfectly balanced, and return safely to Earth. Each day, you'll get to build a rocket from a sleek and awesome Mad Science rocket kit to a rocket made of toilet paper tubes – how cool is that? You'll also be part of a real launch team! Imagine working together with your new friends as altitude trackers, launch preparers, and launchers. Every day, you'll watch in awe as we send a rocket soaring high into the sky.

Great for children entering 2nd - 5th grade. Children entering K-1st grade will enjoy it as well with a little more help from fellow campers or instructors.

Note: Our camp includes everything your child needs during the camp. However, if you wish to continue your child’s interest in rocket launches at home, you will need to purchase a launch kit online or from a store.

Summer Rookie Camp for Elementary aged children at D1 STL West

From our Earth's atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this program sends campers on a quest for exploration! Comets, planets, stars and more are all waiting to be discovered. Learn about the four forces of flight, the challenges of space travel, and even participate in a rocket launch!

Join Bricks 4 Kidz for a week building Super Heroes and Avengers with LEGO® bricks. Create a fantasy world and protect it against all the evil arch enemies with custom contraptions made with LEGO® bricks. All campers take home a custom-made mini figure.

Ready for a thrilling building challenge? Join The Bricks 4 Kidz Master Challenge, inspired by the dynamic LEGO Masters TV show! This camp is a playground for budding master builders. Each day brings exciting new challenges, where campers will learn advanced LEGO techniques, collaborate on imaginative projects, and test their creativity. From constructing towering structures to engineering moving creations, it’s a journey of innovation, teamwork, and endless fun. We have a need...a need for BEES! Students will have hands-on experiences with Rossman’s Bees. These adventures will include indoor and outdoor learning with Mrs. Boyd. From tools, hive inspections, common threats and pests, building bee baths, weird but true bee facts, planting flowers, honey taste tests, and more. Students will gain confidence and skills to prepare them for a lifelong love of learning and appreciation of bees! Parents are invited to join the last hour of the last camp day to view the bees from the observation hive, watch a slideshow of pictures from the week, and see what your Junior Beekeeper has learned.

Join Rossman’s Mr. Crossland and Ms. Hutchinson for a culinary adventure! After touring the Rossman kitchen, campers will learn how to be safe and organized as they set out to prepare tasty foods. Campers will enjoy making healthy snacks, decorating cookies, and even making homemade pizzas.

Your child's in for an action-packed week focused entirely on rockets and the physics of rocket flight! After learning the model rocket safety code, campers will build different types of rockets and participate in rocket launches during the week-long program. Children will be divided into three groups: altitude trackers, launch preparers, and launchers for rocket launches and will get the opportunity to try different roles. Note: We will launch rockets and your child will build several types of rockets. Our camp includes everything your child needs during our camp day.

However, if you wish to continue your child’s interest in rocket launches outside our camp, you will need to purchase a launch kit from Walmart or a hobby shop.

 Our summer program offers engaging activities for all children that fosters self-confidence and encourage interpersonal skill development through participation in a range of experiences. Themed weeks, focused around real world phenomena, will be investigated by all ages through STEAM activities (Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics), performances, athletics, and local off-site experiences.
