The Stanford Middle School Scholars Program (SMSSP) prepares students for a rigorous high school education with a three-week online summer course, and weekly online after-school meetings during fall. The program serves low-income students in grades 6 or 7 who reside in and attend school in the United States.

We'll start with the basics: From decoding messages to metal detector and night vision, campers have the opportunity to check out spy tech equipment and take home lots of gadgets like spy glasses! Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! Figure out the science of forensics in a hands-on look at crime scenes! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on investigation of the science that spies use! Before and After-care is available at an addition cost through the Brentwood Parks and Recreation.

In our state-of-the-art kitchen, young chefs will enjoy lots of culinary action and tasty delights of Canadian cuisine. This camp will help you learn about measuring ingredients, how to follow a recipe, gardening and harvesting, and how to make healthy choices in food preparation. Every recipe is a creation and every creation an adventure! Chef Margaret Grant will guide you through this culinary experience. Any allergies or dietary restrictions will be taken into account for every recipe used, ensuring that the experience is healthy and fun for all!
