Georgetown's Economics Policy Academy provides an interdisciplinary exploration of the complex role played by states and other governing entities in relation to markets, through the lens of both economics and political science. You'll study theoretical concepts from both fields and practice applying them to real-world problems—both in the U.S. and abroad—to assess the situations and evaluate policy solutions. By the end of the program, you'll have a deeper understanding of not only the key philosophical and theoretical concepts behind an economic policy which affect all facets of our life, such as price interventions and regulations, but also the main issues the U.S. economy faces today.

A first course on tools and approaches for making marketing decisions. Marketing is viewed as a broad technology for influencing behavior, beyond functions like selling and advertising. Topics covered include consumer behavior, marketing research, and marketing planning, with emphasis on marketing mix decisions: product strategy, communications, pricing, and distribution.

Over two weeks, students will delve into the core principles of the U.S. legal framework while engaging in interactive experiences, including participating in a mock trial and moot court, as well as visits to local government institutions and courts.

Do you love reading great books, creating beautiful art, and exploring our amazing woods? Grab your bug spray and sunscreen, and join us for Books and Beauty in Nature! We will begin by sharing a book, and then head out to the woods to collect materials for our daily art project.

The “Little Green Thumbs!” five-session preschool camp offers young children an exciting introduction to basic environmental science. Each session is devoted to different aspects of the garden, allowing children to progressively enrich their understanding of how living things grow and how they interact with the environment around them. During the course of each three-hour session, children will perform hands-on experiments, play themed games, and enjoy a story related to the session’s themes. A mural will grow through the course of the program as children illustrate their latest discoveries at the close of each session.

Washers... Pickleball... Ladder Ball... and more! You will learn about tournament brackets while competing in a variety of fun games. There will be something for everyone!

This week will be filled with different kinds of poetry. We will read poetry, write poetry, and at the end of the week we will publish and illustrate our creations! Students will have the opportunity to flex their creativity and write about topics that matter to them.

Campers will role-play the key responsibilities of a doctor and learn about vital organs in the human body.  These future doctors will learn how to use a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, and reflex hammer.  They will practice adminstering first aid, learn how pharmacists play a role in administering medications, and more.

Camp participants will roleplay the key responsibilities in a vet office and learn how to care for their plush canine patients. These future veterinarians will learn how to remove ticks, perform a nose-to-tail exam, understand proper animal nutrition and hydration, dog body language, and more!
