Learning to code becomes collaborative, active, and joyful! Use Unruly Splats (programmable floor buttons) to code and play sports-themed games that teach computational thinking skills, teamwork, and ingenuity through movement and play! Work together to brainstorm, code, and test creative new versions of Splats games, building teamwork and design skills. We’ll be moving, thinking, and laughing while they develop real coding skills with minimal screen time. Perfect for kids of all experience levels, beginners and young coders welcome.

The Geospatial Adventure Summer Camp is an exciting and educational program designed to introduce middle school students to the fascinating world of geospatial technology and its applications. Geospatial science is the interdisciplinary field that focuses on the collection, analysis, interpretation, and utilization of spatial data and technologies to understand and solve real-world problems related to the Earth's surface and its features. This camp will provide hands-on learning experiences, map exploration, and interactive activities that will inspire young minds to explore the wonders of our planet using geospatial tools and techniques.

Each day, you’ll spend time with two leaders who will take you through their journey to where they are today and talk with you about how they set a vision, built relationships and culture, and made tough decisions. Join us for Cougar Theater Camp, a two-week adventure in the performing arts! Campers will receive hands-on training in acting, music, and dance, and will learn to create props and bring a production to life. Under the guidance of Ashley Miller-Melton, SIUE alumna and the director of the Edwardsville High School drama department, participants will work with a team of five experienced teachers and eight enthusiastic counselors to explore every aspect of theater. The camp culminates into a magical weekend of performances on stage, complete with costumes, scenery, lighting, and all the elements of a professional production. Each camper will experience the thrill of performing in front of an audience, showcasing their creativity and hard work.

The SIUE Summer Jazz Camp is available for students of all experience levels in middle through high school. Campers will learn performance and improvisation techniques from faculty members in the SIUE jazz department. Students will work on the fundamentals of jazz improvisation with some of the areas top performers and educators through large group/big band rehearsals, small group/combo rehearsals, master classes, jam sessions and other course offerings.

The Midwest Clarinet Institute for students entering Grades 7-12 and entering college students. This camp will provide an opportunity for intermediate through advanced clarinetists to learn more about the clarinet. There will be masterclasses, workshops, lectures, audition preparation, chamber ensembles, technique building, private lessons, solo performances, and a clarinet choir. All levels of clarinet players will feel supported and inspired after attending this camp.

Campers learn new techniques, collaborate with their peers, and express themselves creatively through exciting art lessons in innovative media. Camp takes place in the Art & Design West building, which provides campers with access to state-of-the-art studios, supplies and classrooms. During our 2-D exploration week, students will explore a multitude of 2-D media. With mediums ranging from painting and drawing to photography, printmaking and more, students will work side by side with professional artists and educators to create new and exciting 2-D artwork.

Arts and crafts week offers students the experience of working with a variety of art media including pottery, jewelry making and textiles art. Students will work with local artists and educators to create new and exciting craft projects.

Summer Art Camp is an all-day program for students in grades 4-5. Campers learn new techniques, collaborate with their peers, and express themselves creatively through exciting art lessons in innovative media. Camp takes place in the Art & Design West building, which provides campers with access to state-of-the-art studios, supplies and classrooms. During our 3-D exploration week, students will work with local ceramic artists and art educators to create pottery and multi-media sculpture. Covering a vast array of techniques, including primitive clay excavation, wheel throwing and mold making, students of all ages will discover the exciting possibilities 3-D art has to offer.

This camp is a three-day, overnight experience for players of all levels, boys ages 13-18. Designed for athletes with the ambition to play at the collegiate level, technical and tactical field sessions are taught in a competitive 11v11 format. Also included are classroom lectures on mental toughness, the life of a collegiate athlete, and how to navigate the recruiting process. Campers are coached by staff from SIUE, as well as a select group of NCAA Div. I, II, III, and NAIA coaches from across the country. Goalkeepers will experience daily technical training from the SIUE goalkeeper coach.
