Learn proper dribbling, shooting mechanics, offensive and defensive strategies, and footwork placement. Both training and scrimmage gameplay included. Offered in partnership with the Rec Academy.

Learn various forms of Martial Arts and Self-Defense. Class will include boxing, kickboxing, self-defense, and wrestling techniques. Goals of this class are to teach discipline, respect, and build self-confidence. Led by a certified trainer from Finney's All N 1 Fitness and MMA. Participants can purchase their own boxing/MMA gloves in advance, or they will be available for purchase at the gym for $25.00

Ace your game! Levels designed with US Tennis Association to offer players the chance to develop needed skills. All classes are offered in partnership with Vetta Sunset Tennis. This class is built especially for middle school and high school players interested in tennis. Drills are predominantly live ball (situational drills where students feed) and strategy oriented. Players will be divided into groups based on experience.

Run, Jump, CODE! Learning to code becomes collaborative, active, and joyful! Use Unruly Splats (programmable floor buttons) to code and play sports-themed games that teach computational thinking skills, teamwork, and ingenuity through movement and play! Work together to brainstorm, code, and test creative new versions of Splats games, building teamwork and design skills. We’ll be moving, thinking, and laughing while they develop real coding skills with minimal screen time. Perfect for kids of all experience levels, beginners and young coders welcome.

Conjure up gumdrop molecules, ice cream in a can, crystal snowflakes, water bottle rockets and other bizarre concoctions. You’ll want to do these experiments over and over again. Chemistry has never been so much fun!

Customize your own Minecraft world and mod the classic game in this one-of-a-kind class. Learn scripting and logic statements as you create your first mods. Students will create a wide variety of new elements, gameplay mechanics, and world-generating mods to change the way you play Minecraft. Projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students must have the Java version of Minecraft to take this class. Tablet, phone, and game console versions of Minecraft are not compatible. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.
