Open the magic trunk and let your imagination soar! One day, we discover a pirate's costume or fantastic sunken treasure. Another day, we find fairy dust and jewels. Create a scary or funny monster movie! Working in small groups, campers collaboratively write, direct, film, and act in each other's films. They build the costumes, props, and environment to enhance their tales. Students create makeup and special effects to include in their films. Monster Matinee concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's work sent the week following camp. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines. Art and technology supplies and equipment use included in price.

Campers spend their week collecting gold coins like they are inside a video game as they explore obstacle courses and scavenger hunts. They create their own characters, then dodge piranha plants, have a relay race with Luigi, and work to save Princess Peach. On the final day of camp, we challenge parents on an adventure we create ourselves. Oh Yeah! Mario Time! concludes with an in-person adventure for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.

Learn numbers from contemporary musicals that explore teen identity and confront bias while working on singing, dancing, and acting skills. We utilize songs and characters from musicals like The Prom, Dear Evan Hansen, and Everybody's Talking About Jamie, and we combine them with our collective ideas, concerns, and imaginations to create a musical revue for family and friends. Travel under the sea where we create fantastical human or sea creatures. We sing and dance to songs from The Little Mermaid, collectively create an adventurous story, make whozits and whatzits, and then share our own fun musical tale. Part of that World concludes with an in-person performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp. In this story-building camp, campers explore pixilation, a style of stop motion animation that uses campers as the models. We start with laying out the basics of storytelling, and then use the uniqueness and challenges of pixilation to visually share these stories by making props and costumes and filming in interesting locations in and around COCA. Pixilation concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's work sent the week following camp.

Structure, craft, and create a screenplay as you write in response to prompts each day. Explore the formal elements of a good screenplay—what makes a good story, dialogue, and characters in both short "warm-up" exercises and larger written scenework. You learn to format and structure like a professional and how to pitch and position your work for producers. You also learn critique strategies as you give and receive vital feedback on projects.

Campers learn about the theatrical art form of stage combat found in live theatre and film in this introductory camp. With “safety first” as the rule, we learn the basics of stage combat, from punches and sword fights to safe falls and rolls, and how to integrate them into performances on stage.

Can't wait for the next superhero movie to come out? Students in this camp make their own! They work in small groups to develop classic or original superheroes and villains. They build the costumes, sets, props, and environment to help tell the adventure. They also work in small groups to write the story, cast the film, scout locations, film, and even learn a little editing. Superhero Movie Making I concludes with families receiving a digital link to the films created in the camp.

Discover the many varieties of 3D sculpture and motion in this STEAM camp. Campers learn about the artistry and physics of kinetic sculptures by creating pieces that float, fly, roll, or "go zoom." We start with a variety of media, including cardboard, clay, and wire; then, we power our creations with motors, wind, weight, and our imaginations. Things that Go Zoom concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

It's time for some fun with fairy tales, nursery rhymes, and folk stories. What if Snow White had climbed the beanstalk instead of finding the seven dwarves? Imagine the fun if Little Miss Muffett had used karate to scare the spider away! Join us as we turn well-known stories upside down and inside out, creating fun props and our own topsy turvy endings! Topsy Turvy Tales concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Beep Beep Beep! All aboard this camp designed to constructively channel the energy and imagination of those who love cars, trucks, trains, and planes. Using paint, clay, boxes, tape, and more, we enjoy making things that go. Children explore songs, movement, and drama to get those wheels spinning! We might even see our favorite blue truck along the way. Zip Chug Zoom concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Get ready to blast off into the world of rockets and discover the amazing science behind them. You'll become a rocket safety superstar by learning all about the model rocket safety code. You'll also uncover the secrets of how rockets soar through the sky, stay perfectly balanced, and return safely to Earth. Each day, you'll get to build a rocket from a sleek and awesome Mad Science rocket kit to a rocket made of toilet paper tubes – how cool is that? You'll also be part of a real launch team! Imagine working together with your new friends as altitude trackers, launch preparers, and launchers. Every day, you'll watch in awe as we send a rocket soaring high into the sky.
