Join us as we explore the creative potential and "color wheel" inside any kitchen. We create kids' favorites, such as vegetable pasta, fresh lemonade, and fruit-based desserts, that demonstrate both the health and artfulness of being mindful of the colors on our plates. Campers delve into the world of cosplay makeup and discover how to make fantasy creatures come to life. Become a fairy, dragon, mermaid, or create your very own creatures. Learn basics in contouring, highlighting, and shading and see how you transform. Fantasy Makeup concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's transformations the week following camp.

Learn to use fresh local produce selected from the farmers market and a whole foods approach to create sophisticated meals that reflect flavors around the world from fresh foods. We learn about legendary chefs like Alice Waters who creates fine dining experiences from sustainable approaches, and we incorporate foraged flowers from the region such as roses and honeysuckle. Students discover the world of theatre in Shrek The Musical KIDS. This camp is a wonderful introductory stage experience for aspiring musical theatre performers. Students participate by enrollment and are cast on the first day of camp. They experience working on a short, scripted musical in an accelerated format. In this lively show, Shrek and his fairytale friends go on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. This show is performed for family and friends on Friday, June 12 at 7:00PM. Tickets are $10 and available through COCA's Box Office the first week of camp. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.

Explore epoxy resin to embed flowers, vintage beads and buttons, photographs, and drawings to create beautiful coasters, paper weights, mobiles, and other decorative items for your room. Use the same techniques and materials to create personal items like jewelry and key chains to take your glassy art objects along with you everywhere you go. Glassy! concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Aspiring dancers learn hip-hop steps and connect them with freestyle steps of their own creation to put together high-energy group choreography. Students gain an understanding of dance concepts, such as rhythm, musicality, spacing, and levels. They also create a hip-hop “crew” name and design a T-shirt. Hip-Hop Basics concludes with an in-person performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp.

Campers learn how words and images come together in an illustrated book. We begin by writing a descriptive tale, then use the process of a book illustrator to decide which elements to communicate through our artwork. We explore and practice many styles of illustration, from pencil drawings to collage. Then, campers decide which to use in creating a fully illustrated mini-book of their own. Illustration concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Calling all paleontologists! Join us for Brontosaurus building and Stegosaurus sculptures. We create our own fossils and dino art as well as imagine stories about our favorite dinosaurs. Come and explore the Jurassic period and create some pre-historic fun. Jurassic Art concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

If your child loves LEGO, this camp is their chance to bring LEGO creations to life! We work in groups to develop simple storyboards, stage the building blocks, and learn how to use stop motion animation techniques as we shoot footage to develop into a short film. Legomation Basics concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's work sent the week following camp. Art and technology supplies and equipment use included in price.

Express yourself! Students transform plain white T-shirts into a wide array of fashionable items—kimonos, dresses, and bags that reflect a sense of personal style. They dye, cut and tie, and add design elements, including some hand sewing, fabric markers, fabric paint, beads, gems, and other decorative techniques. The possibilities are endless in this camp that develops imagination. More than a T-Shirt concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Do you like to stomp in mud puddles? We read stories about Peppa Pig and our other favorite pig, Olivia! We explore COCA's outdoor areas and create "muddy" art from natural materials. We even learn a dance to "Jumping in Muddy Puddles." Muddy Puddles concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.
