TASS-CBS offers college-level, discussion-based seminars that explore topics within history, politics, literature, art, and other intellectual and cultural contributions from people of African descent.

This year, USC Summer Programs is offering 26 on-campus courses spanning a multitude of disciplines — including architecture, performing arts, business, engineering and more — all taught by USC faculty and instructors.

Sphinx Performance Academy (SPA) is a full-scholarship intensive summer chamber music and solo performance program. SPA transforms lives by providing private lessons, masterclasses, recitals, career enrichment sessions, and mentorship. SPA offers a chamber orchestra and solo repertoire focus for violin, viola, cello, and bass. All accepted applicants for the Sphinx Performance Academy will receive a full scholarship to the program, including room and board. Students are responsible for transportation to and from the program. Ground transportation to and from the airport is provided for students flying without an adult parent or guardian.

Kids Learn about archaeology and the techniques scientists use to excavate long lost cities! They discover ancient civilizations and the tools and artifacts they used in everyday life! They also study bone fragments, pottery shards, amber deposits, and fossils to understand what they can tell us about history! What’s more, each class includes a make and take-home project, like a fossil reproduction, an amber time capsule, and coins from around the world!

From fizzy, gassy reactions and bubbling concoctions to the mysteries of burps, boogers, and blood, campers will explore the science behind some of the messiest—and most amazing—phenomena. Along the way, they’ll dive into chemistry, biology, and even a little forensic science, with plenty of hands-on experiments and take-home projects.

Campers use creative and collaborative skills to design a mission patch, train like an astronaut and solve real-world engineering problems, just like NASA astronauts working together on a mission. They will think and act as NASA engineers as they work with a team to make a pasta rover, parachute, and more! They'll learn about other spin off technology used on earth today. Then, they'll even create a storyboard and presentation to share their spinoff project and work on their science communication skills.

Camp Able provides a camp experience for people with diverse availities for all ages, using a one-to-one camper-to-counselor pairing.
