For our virtual camp, we'll pack up a bag for you of science activities to do at home! Your Mad Scientist will lead campers in demonstrations and activities (about 60-90 minutes per day) and set them off on their discovery with science activities. Online portions conducted via Zoom. Children entering K and 1st will need assistance from a grownup at home. Have more than one student? You only need to register one, but be sure to add on an additional activity bag!

Note: Descriptions below are based on in-person full-day programs. Specific "Camp at Home" activities may vary.

Astronaut Training
This program will explore what makes rockets fly, the parts of a rocket are involved in flight, and how energy gets things moving! Campers will work in teams to launch rockets.
Go For Launch!
Campers will focus on rocket transportation, rocket staging and advanced rocket launches. Campers will discover the advantages of rocket staging.
Mission Control
Campers will learn about the history of NASA’s rocket program and begin their exploration of the universe. Campers get to make their own Paper Tiger Rockets.
Mission Recovery
Rockets can travel into space but how are they propelled and how are they recovered? Campers will explore the concepts of propulsion and recovery systems through various hands-on activities. They will compare the features of different types of rockets.
Rocket Scientists
Campers will create a rocket journal to record all of their experimental data. They will learn the parts & functions of a rocket & the model rocket safety code. Children will build a bog-roll rocket.
