Watercolor for the Young Artist

Students will explore the world of watercolor, while building on traditional methods. Students will try various layering, masking, and wash techniques. The class will emphasize color theory and working from observation. Through both student-led experimentation and demonstrations, young artists will gain confidence in expressing their creative visions and painting from life or photographs. This class is great for students who are interested in experimenting with color and texture. Each day will be a little different, demonstrations and individual instruction will accommodate all skill levels. Supplies are included in the cost of the class and students are responsible for bringing their own lunch.
