Printmaking for the Young Artist

In this week long camp, young artists will learn about two types of printmaking, linocuts and monotypes. Campers will create multiple blocks that can be printed over and over again, exploring the way that mark can create line, form, and pattern. They will also attempt a reductive print method where the block is slowly carved away, leaving them with a limited run of multi colored prints! Campers will also experiment with monotype, to create a collaborative print while learning to use the print press. Young artists will leave with a new newfound appreciation for printmaking! Supplies are included in the cost of the class and students are responsible for bringing their own lunch.
