Textiles for the Young Artist

In this week long camp, young artists will work with textiles and fabric to create a variety of unique pieces without the need for a sewing machine! Students will learn about weaving, as well as ways to collage with fabric. They will create small tapestries, collaging and stitching pieces together to create a patchwork portrait. Young artists will explore the use of thread, yarn, and other mixed media to create weavings. Supplies are included in the cost of the class and students are responsible for bringing their own lunch.
