The Butler University Brass Camp offers an exciting and immersive week of music-making for students entering grades 8–12 who have at least one year of experience on their brass instrument. Led by the Butler brass faculty and Dr. Zach Cooper (professor of horn), the camp provides a focused yet fun environment for brass players to grow as musicians and connect with peers who share their passion. Throughout the week, students will: ?? Participate in daily masterclasses ?? Rehearse and perform in instrument-specific ensembles — horn, trumpet, trombone, and tuba/euphonium ?? Join together for a full brass choir experience ?? Receive expert instruction on tone, technique, ensemble playing, and performance skills The week culminates in a final showcase concert, featuring performances from all ensembles in a celebratory conclusion to the camp. Whether you’re an aspiring soloist, ensemble player, or future music major, Brass Camp offers the perfect blend of focused learning, musical collaboration, and summer fun.
