Visual Arts Summer Intensive

In the UNCSA Visual Arts Summer Intensive, you will find a demanding and stimulating program designed to unlock your artistic talent and hone your skills in the visual arts. During classes in drawing and design, you’ll explore the philosophical as well as the mechanical aspects of the art experience. You’ll dive into historical art concepts and practices and contemporary imagery through slide shows, lectures, and library assignments. You’ll participate in classroom critiques throughout the four-week summer session, and in a virtual gallery exhibition for families and friends as a grand finale. No prior experience or portfolio is required, just your serious passion for developing your own artistic understanding and expression. This program is for ages 14-18.
