Summer Nursing Camp

The Indiana Wesleyan University School of Nursing is excited to present a summer nursing camp experience. Immerse yourself in the career of nursing with hands-on, interactive opportunities through skills development, simulations, CPR and first aid training. You will also hear from guest speakers who are leaders in the nursing field. As a high school student considering a career in nursing, you will be exposed to numerous areas: transcultural, geriatric, maternal/child, surgery and more. One unique component of this experience includes a guided cadaver lab tour, where students will view preserved human organs and, with additional permission, have the option to observe a full human donor body. This powerful educational opportunity enhances understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and the complexity of the body’s systems—providing a rare and respectful look into real-life nursing education.
