Art Adventurers: Rise Up, Make Art

Get ready to stand up for yourself and others this week as we experience the power of art as activism! As an artist, you will have the opportunity to choose a cause that is important to you and to use your creative strength to advocate for change. As a team, we will work with local organizations to support our community and discover the joy of “artivism”! Note: We will be learning about and celebrating Juneteenth and World Refugee Day this week. Experience art and nature through exploration of Laumeier's green space, woodland trails, outdoor sculptures, and creek. This full-day art camp is designed for ages 5-10, with an emphasis on play, exploration, and friendship. Young artists learn about contemporary and historical artists, interact with special guests, immerse themselves in the woodland creek and trails, and experiment with a variety of materials and processes to create amazing works of art! Each session is inspired by a unique theme and young artists are divided into four different teams by age.
