The Brown Environmental Leadership Lab (BELL) combines concepts in environmental studies, ecology and leadership, with a mission of developing socially responsible leaders. At BELL, you’ll embark on a journey of learning and reflection while building community with the fellow student environmentalists in your program.

Summer at Columbia is an intensive four-week program for high school students interested in exploring the arts, media, and communications fields.

Explore your passion for nursing and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art healthcare simulators.

In this intensive one-week hands on camp, students will bring a developed idea for a short film. This program is a combination of theory and practical experience, as students study the core elements of screenwriting while working in supervised writing labs. Students leave the workshop with a first draft of a short film screenplay. The camp is held at the prestigious LUISS University in the Middle of the Villa Ada park, central Rome, and taught by internationally produced playwright, screenwriter and novelist Colette Freedman. All courses are taught in English.

Essentials of Entrepreneurship is an intensive two-week summer program for a select group of high school students currently enrolled in 9th to 11th grades. This immersive experience challenges students to engage with peers, use innovative thinking, and learn the basics of what it takes to be an entrepreneur.

Essentials of Finance is an intensive two-week summer opportunity for a select group of high school students currently enrolled in grades 9–11. This exploratory program provides a brief introduction to the fundamentals of finance, as well as opportunities to explore finance beyond the stock market, including venture capital, corporate valuation, and alternative investments.

Leadership in the Business World (LBW) is an intensive summer program for a select group of rising seniors who want an introduction to a top-notch undergraduate business education and the opportunity to hone their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Since 1999, LBW has brought students from six continents and nearly every state to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Set on Wharton’s San Francisco campus, Innovation and Startup Culture provides a whirlwind introduction to the world of new venture creation. Throughout the intensive two-week summer program, students will learn the strategies successful entrepreneurs use to generate new ideas and develop them into disruptive high-growth ventures.  

Penn Chemistry is a leading center for molecular research and instruction, whose researchers are at the frontier of modern chemistry, tackling a wide variety of important societal challenges. The Chemistry Research Academy provides students with the foundational knowledge to understand this cutting-edge research, while providing opportunities to hear and learn directly from several of the research professors and students. The Chemistry Research Academy is fully residential with no commuter or online options.

The Neuroscience Research Academy explores the biological foundations of the brain, progressing from the cellular foundations of the neuron to an understanding of the sensory systems, and culminating with higher-order cognitive functions such as memory, emotion, and morality.

The Bioscience Institute at the Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program is an unforgettable summer experience for high school students. Students will learn the fundamentals of scientific inquiry and experimentation, gaining experience with data collection and analysis while deepening their understanding of biological theory. This hands-on, interactive course will cover how human activities impact the natural world, focusing on ecology, and environmental biology.

The Entrepreneurship Institute at the Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program is an unforgettable experience for high school students. Learn how to develop, vet, and launch a valuable entrepreneurial idea. Meet and engage with successful entrepreneurs, tour start-up companies at different stages of development, and learn key principles of entrepreneurial marketing, finance, and strategy. Put it all into practice by planning, pitching, and launching a start-up by the end of the week.

The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Law Institute is an unforgettable experience for high school students. Find out what it’s really like to be a lawyer. From arguing for your client in a criminal litigation case to representing a company in a contract negotiation students will be exposed to a wide range of law practice areas and career paths. Learn about confidentiality, conflicts, candor, and other ethical duties that lawyers must observe. While being immersed in our week-long institute, you will hear valuable life lessons from our presenters, including the importance of developing relationships, balancing family and work life, being resilient, and pursuing your passion.

The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Medicine Institute is an unforgettable experience for high school students. Interested in donning the white coat, but not sure what being a healthcare professional is really like? Gain hands-on experience in the medical field and insight into the many career opportunities available within the various disciplines of medicine. You’ll visit healthcare facilities in Winston-Salem, participate in simulations and labs, and learn basic skills like taking blood pressure and suturing.

The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Policy and Politics Institute is an unforgettable experience for high school students. During the institute students will learn about American democracy, their constitutional rights, and how elections shape current laws. Students will engage with each other during class, becoming empowered citizens as they discuss and develop a public policy plan. Working collaboratively, they will consider how everyday citizens can make change happen, and practice the art of persuading others.
