Lights, Camera, Edit! Unleash your child's inner filmmaker as they become a digital director and enter the world of video editing! Throughout the week, campers will use OBS and CapCut to work on creative projects teaching them to record and edit their own videos. They'll craft engaging game commentary, produce a dynamic 30-second commercial, and deliver a compelling green screen news report. Along the way, kids will learn essential video editing skills such as trimming clips, setting key frames, and adding transitions to bring their visions to life. The grand finale is the capstone project, where each camper creates a video showcasing the skills and techniques they've mastered for our Code Ninjas Film Festival. That's a wrap!

Our guests from Mad Science STL are sure to put on a spectacular Fire and Ice show with impressive science experiments. The event includes foggy dry ice storms and demonstrates how giant beach balls can float in the air. Attendees will be amazed by dry ice, with sizzling, shivering scissors and special bubbly showers!

The Aviation Flight program at SIU Carbondale offers this week-long aviation camp designed to give interested high school students an opportunity to experience first-hand the thrill of flight. Summer Wings offers those attending the chance to explore a career as a pilot by providing ground and flight training similar to the training that SIU flight students undergo.

This is the place for young storytellers to shift their imagination into high gear! Perfect for kids interested in moviemaking, Ninjas will create cinematic masterpieces set in their own Minecraft world. They'll learn about the art of scene building and storytelling, having fun expressing themselves and sharing stories with new friends. And the fun doesn't stop there-Ninjas will also delve into the basics of editing and audio mixing, transforming their raw footage into polished short movies.

Campers will dive into an exhilarating journey where coding meets robotics, using the powerful micro:bit and the dynamic CuteBot! Ninjas will bring their robotic cars (the Cutebots!) to life with the user-friendly MakeCode micro: bit editor. From programming CuteBot's movements to mastering speed control, obstacle avoidance, and line tracking, each session is packed with excitement and discovery. The grand finale will be a showcase of each camper's ingenuity as they present their custom robotic projects, demonstrating their newly acquired skills and creative flair.
