Welcome to the Retro-Tech Reverse Engineering Summer Camp for Middle School Students! Dive into a world where vintage appliances become the building blocks of innovation. In this hands-on camp, participants will unlock the secrets of old-school gadgets, from analog radios to vintage gaming consoles. Through disassembly, analysis, and reassembly, campers will unravel the inner workings of these classic devices, gaining insights into engineering principles and design concepts. Join us for a summer of exploration, as we turn nostalgia into knowledge and inspire the next generation of tech enthusiasts!

From the earliest flying machines to the first rocket flights, this week long, hands-on program will give children a bird's eye view of the history and science of flight. Your child will build many different flying devices and explore the science of aerodynamics and flight with the help of Newton's laws. We don't stop there, though, because we're heading out of the atmosphere with a look at rockets and our Galactic neighborhood!

Note: Descriptions and Additional Information describe our full-day camp program. Fewer activities are done in a half-day camp.

Note: Your child will bring home a working model rocket. However, If your child would like to continue his/her interest in launching rockets outside of camp, you will need to purchase a launch kit online or from a hobby shop.

The SPICE Chess Summer Camp is a fun way to introduce chess to newcomers of the game, as well as deepen the understanding of the game for intermediate or advanced players.

Lights, camera, action! Step into the spotlight at Camp Curtain Call – the perfect camp for kids who dream of starring on stage! Whether you’re a natural-born performer or just love to be part of the action, campers will dive into the world of acting, singing, dancing and work together on a production that will be performed for parents and guests at The Magic House every Friday.

Young designers will learn the full design process, from brainstorming big ideas to sketching their plans and bringing them to life. Campers will explore new skills while using cool tools like 3D printers to make their creations and stop-motion video to animate their stories. Whether designing a toy, a character, or a fun invention, campers will turn their ideas into reality!
