Want to put the skills you've learned at LitShop to work for a better St Louis? Join us for a Community Action Build. During these one-day builds, we partner with other organizations to solve problems using our building skills. For this build, we're once again partnering with Gateway Housing Service Project to build a ramp! GHSP helps make home accessible by building and installing ramps, grab bars, and other modifications for individuals with immediate mobility needs. Girls will build on-site and will be able to see firsthand how their build will positively impact their client. This will be our FIFTH ramp build with GHSP, and it is always a blast and truly rewarding.

Mystery Spy & Detective Camp is an immersive, hands-on adventure where campers become junior detectives and undercover agents for the week. Each day, campers will work in age-appropriate teams to crack codes, analyze evidence, and solve exciting mysteries. Activities include fingerprinting, secret messages, disguise challenges, scavenger hunts, surveillance games, and logic puzzles—all designed to build critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence while having a blast. Campers will sharpen their observation skills, learn how to think like real detectives, and complete daily “missions” that lead up to a final Case Closed! celebration at the end of the week. Younger campers are guided through playful investigations, while older campers tackle more advanced puzzles and problem-solving challenges. Perfect for curious minds, imaginative thinkers, and kids who love a good mystery, this camp combines creativity, STEM-based thinking, and high-energy fun in a safe, supportive environment.

Integrated mathematics requires a strong foundation in the algebra concepts introduced in 8th grade. This course will provide a review of important math topics to help students build the necessary understanding to find success in Algebra 1 or Integrated Mathematics 1. Using an individualized approach, students will improve their algebra skills while exploring meaningful problems that require knowledge of many math concepts. The course will also help build problem-solving techniques in preparation for the type of work required in the ninth-grade courses.
