Every afternoon Kid Zone  provides a variety of clubs for students to choose from.  Students can make different choices throughout the day or pick one for the day.  In addition to the clubs listed below we also offer outside play and free choice play for students who do not want to participate in any of our choice clubs. 

Mini Classes provide a variety of after school experiences, with a wide range of offerings such as tennis, pickleball, art, gymnastics, chess, LEGO robotics, and dance. Topics offer students in junior kindergarten through sixth grade an opportunity to explore exciting and enticing academic and non-academic areas. Classes are often taught by Community School teachers, although community organizations such as STAGES, COCA, and Little Medical School also regularly provide classes.

A parent-child developmental program created to prepare three and four-year-olds for organized sports. Parents work with their children in a structured environment as they learn how to properly teach and support their children in sports. Participants receive a t-shirt and a participation award. Parent participation is mandatory.

Specifically designed for kids enrolled in Pre-K, this league starts with practices where players focus on learning how to shoot, dribble, pass, and have fun playing as a team. The season concludes with games. Teams are coached by volunteer parents and consist of up to eight players. Games played at either J location. Session format is 20-minute practice followed by games led by coaches.

Our childcare program is available for all grades. Extended Day strives to provide a supportive, home-like environment for children. Outdoor games, creative play, crafts, and quiet time for reading and/or homework are scheduled for the children. A daily snack is provided. Extended Day also meets during faculty professional days and conference days, as well as most school holidays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

J Basketball Skills Academy focuses on core fundamentals for all skill levels. Areas of concentration include shooting mechanics, speed and controlled dribbling, on-and-off ball defense, footwork, and offensive and defensive principles. Fee includes a jersey, seven weeks of training and small game play.

Specifically designed for high school students allowing them the opportunity to grow as young leaders and prepare for their futures after Midtown and high school. Focuses on: Leadership, Tutoring, College Prep, ACT/SAT Prep, Resume Writing, College Visits, Job Hunting, Future Planning, and Teen Talks.

Activities Include, but not limited to: Team building, Identity exploration, Community building, and Academic Tutoring. Dinner and snacks are provided.
