String Crossings is Belmont University’s annual week-long summer camp where current high school string students learn and perform music from a diverse set of genres including classical, jazz, rock, celtic, swing, and bluegrass. Students have the opportunity to study with Belmont's world-renowned faculty, explore creative musicianship and technique in all styles, participate in interactive performances, and immerse themselves in an exciting week of making music with new friends!

The 6-day program with a staff of over 28 instructors enables us to not only train great teachers, conductors, and leaders but also drum majors capable of serving as assistant band directors. The power of positive attitudes, high energy, and natural enthusiasm is integrated into the Smith Walbridge “System,” often imitated, but never matched.

Improve your overall musicianship, apply new techniques to your performance, and develop an appreciation for new styles of music.

Experience a week in the life of a Berklee guitar student in this musically diverse program. Designed to provide you with inspiring performance opportunities and technical training, this program will place you in ensembles with guitarists of similar experience, stylistic interest, and ability. Your faculty comprises 35 internationally recognized players from Berklee's Guitar Department who are experts in a diverse range of styles. Register by Jan 31 to save $200.

Dive into an intensive, curriculum-based workshop designed to enhance your skills on piano, keyboard, and Hammond organ. You'll build expertise in improvisation, performance, chord theory, ensemble playing, and synthesizer performance. The program includes hands-on performance workshops and ensemble sessions with live rhythms sections, where you'll work towards mastery of style-specific techniques, rhythmic studies, and chart reading. Throughout the week, you’ll also explore electives like non-tonal improvisation, synthesizer performance, jazz comping and improvisation master classes, and Hammond organ techniques, giving you a comprehensive experience across styles such as jazz, hip-hop, rock, R&B, pop, funk, Afro-Latin, and fusion. Advanced middle and high school string and piano students perform in trios, quartets, and quintets, enhancing musicianship, collaboration, and communication.

Develop your compositional voice and explore melody, harmony, and orchestration with guidance from experienced composers.

With a focus on Drum Set and World Percussion, students will receive hands on instruction from world class performers and educators. Topics and styles covered include: Cuban, Brazilian, Rock, Pop, West African, Jazz, Musical Theater, Odd Meter, Gospel, Funk, Latin. Campus housing is an additional $150.

Join us for Mizzou Summer Music Camps and Programs. During this week-long session, participants will receive daily chamber music coachings, private lessons with Esterhazy Quartet members, and the opportunity to perform in solo masterclasses. Each chamber ensemble will perform at least twice during the session. Violin, Viola, and Cello only.

Designed for competitive dancers, this camp focuses on jazz, pom and hip-hop routines. Campers will learn fun combos while expanding their skillset, then showcase their talent in a performance on the final day!

Learn from faculty mentors who will help you develop as a musician through discovery, empowerment, and collaboration. Performance options include band, choir, orchestra, piano, organ, and more. All campers will have the opportunity to explore music courses, work in chamber ensembles, perform solos and become collaborative musicians. All are welcome to a final concert featuring our campers on Friday, June 28, at 10:30 a.m. in Neumann Auditorium on the Wartburg campus.
