The Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute, the premiere summer workshop focusing on baroque instruments and voice, will mark its 52nd year of preparing musicians of all ages (15 and up) to perform some of the great works on period instruments. Learn from faculty and resident artists and participate in master classes, recitals, and student concerts to practice baroque techniques and gain a fuller appreciation of this unique musical genre.

Join us this summer for a learning experience that will immerse you in the focused, challenging and supportive atmosphere of Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Harp Professor Diane Evans has planned a program geared to advanced harp students, ages 14-18. (Students under 15 years of age must be accompanied by a parent and live off-campus).

High school students, aged 15 years and older, college, professional, and amateur trumpet players and teachers who want to invest intensive time in trumpet fundamentals, solo trumpet playing, and pedagogical skills are invited to participate in the conservatory’s Trumpet Workshop. The 10-day session offers daily master classes, private lessons, performance classes. Two final participant recitals conclude the week. The program is designed to be sufficiently flexible to accommodate the interests of the individual participants.

Try different dance styles this summer, and have fun trying something new!

Do you like to sing and dance? Then join our summer show choir - Showstoppers! We’ll learn fun new songs and put them to dance routines to perform for an audience at the end of the week. Make sure to polish up those jazz hands! This is a full-day camp; campers should register for both the morning and afternoon sessions

Come and have a dance party with Ms. Horton and friends. Get ready to show us your moves and learn a few routines. No dance experience is required. Not only will we dance but you will also get to help choreograph a routine to do on our last day. You can wear your favorite dance attire or costumes to camp each day and design a costume for our final performance. Can’t wait to groove with you all.

Campers use creative and collaborative skills to design a mission patch, train like an astronaut, and solve real-world engineering problems using spinoff technology, just like NASA astronauts working together on a mission. They propose answers to questions like “How could space suit cooling tubes be used to solve a problem here on Earth? How could robotic arms help make our world a better place?” Then, they create a storyboard and presentation to share their spinoff project and work on their science communication skills

Join is for all things Taylor Swift! We’ll be celebrating all of her Eras throughout the week. We will make friendship bracelets to trade, sunglasses to party in, and we’ll spend the days voting on our favorite Taylor Swift songs. This week will end in an epic Taylor Swift dance party. It’s like Wiffleball... only with a Gruszka “curve.” Learn how to play various types of Wiffleball along with the skills needed to play each position. Hands-on coaching and skill practice will happen each day along with a daily game! Students of all skill levels are welcome to join in for an at bat and no one ever strikes out when having fun with friends at this great backyard game.
