Our Niner Academy is an exciting series of specialty summer camps for high school students (rising grades 9-12) who want to shape what’s next with college and career.

UMSL offers a four-day-long day intensive study of Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian styles that have influenced “Latin Jazz”. This immersive experience brings together top professionals, gifted educators and motivated students from the region.

SIUE Theater and Dance hosts two weeks of K-8 acting, singing and dancing classes culminating in three public performances in Dunham Hall!

The SIUE East St. Louis Performing Arts Summer Enrichment Program will train students in various artistic expressions including but not limited to dance and music. Students will be exposed to performance opportunities through educational programing as we continue the legacy of the renowned icon, Ms. Katherine Dunham.

Each year The Black Rep provides an 8-week arts intensive for students ages 8-18 in the community. This program is designed to provide exciting opportunities for them to express themselves artistically through theatre, acting, visual arts, dance, movement, playwriting and music.

For the beginner to advanced-level dancer, this workshop helps dancers of all levels grow and nurture their modern and jazz dance skills.

Welcome to our Turn Technique Workshop, designed exclusively for intermediate to advanced level dancers ready to take their skills to the next level.

Students learn the fundamental concepts of movement through games, songs, and guided activities. While practicing developmentally-appropriate skills and basic dance steps, students learn to recognize how their own bodies relate within a space, develop the connection between their brains and bodies, explore concepts of music and time, and memorize simple dance sequences.

For the beginner to intermediate pointe dancer, this class helps dancers maintain and nurture their pointe skills. Dancers will focus on keeping their technical skills sharp while maintaining endurance and strength. Proper ballet warm up is also an important part of maintaining and building pointe skills, so we require attending our weekly drop in ballet class beforehand. No class week of July 4th. Class is a "drop in" format.

The Missouri Fine Arts Academy (MFAA) is a two-week summer residential program for highly motivated sophomore, junior and senior high school student artists in the disciplines of visual arts/mixed media, theatre, dance, creative writing, and music (instrumental and vocal).
