This class introduces grade school-aged children to the fundamentals of musical theatre

Open the magic trunk and explore a new adventure through drama, art, storytelling, and movement.

Bring your favorite American Girl doll and enjoy a summer camp filled with crafts, games, a tea party and a movie/pajama day.  Each child will come home at the end of the week with lots of handmade items for their dolls! Each week of camp has a unique theme! Bring the doll to camp every day and label your child’s doll and accessories. Make it a full-day camp by adding another Lodge half-day camp and Lunch Bunch!  Due to additional camp forms required for your child’s safety, registration will only be taken online.  Registration deadline is Tuesday before camp begins.

The Blues had a baby and they named it Rock and Roll.  The British Invasion bands like the Rolling Stones  (who are named after a Muddy Waters song) took the Blues and turned them up to 11. Campers will learn the importance of the Blues and explore the music of  Howlin Wolf, Bo Diddley, Big Mama Thornton and many others.  At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

Ear training, song structure, rhythm patterns and group playing are all part of this week-long introduction to music. In this camp, students will learn about all the different rock instruments and begin their introduction to music theory and music appreciation. This summer camp is designed for 5 – 7-year-old students who have little to no experience with music. This five-day camp runs Monday through Friday with a performance at the end of the last day.

The Beatles are undoubtedly one of the most important rock ‘n’ roll bands of all-time and their songs have greatly influenced the direction of modern music. Come celebrate the best songs from their vast collection of hits and Billboard-topping classics. Students will spend Monday through Friday learning and practicing songs from The Beatles, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.
