Participants will learn two dance routines taught by the Borgia Starry Knight. Dancers will also stretch, play games, and work on jazz and pom technique. The Starry Knights will put on a final showcase on day two for family and friends to enjoy. Deadline to register June 6th.

The Blues had a baby and they named it Rock and Roll.  The British Invasion bands like the Rolling Stones  (who are named after a Muddy Waters song) took the Blues and turned them up to 11. Campers will learn the importance of the Blues and explore the music of  Howlin Wolf, Bo Diddley, Big Mama Thornton and many others.  At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

Ear training, song structure, rhythm patterns and group playing are all part of this week-long introduction to music. In this camp, students will learn about all the different rock instruments and begin their introduction to music theory and music appreciation. This summer camp is designed for 5 – 7-year-old students who have little to no experience with music. This five-day camp runs Monday through Friday with a performance at the end of the last day.

The Beatles are undoubtedly one of the most important rock ‘n’ roll bands of all-time and their songs have greatly influenced the direction of modern music. Come celebrate the best songs from their vast collection of hits and Billboard-topping classics. Students will spend Monday through Friday learning and practicing songs from The Beatles, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

Throughout Rock and Roll history, some of the best performers were also the most popular of their time. These early Pop Legends such as Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and Dusty Springfield paved the way for modern icons such as Madonna, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift. While this camp features mostly female artists, we also feature some of their male counterparts such as Michael Jackson and Prince. After rehearsing for five days, the campers will take the stage on the final camp day. This is a great camp for instrumentalists and vocalists 7-18 years of age, some prior experience preferred.

Green Day was one of the most popular and influential bands of the 90s and early 2000s. Their fun, high-energy music helped bring punk into the mainstream. Throughout this 5-day camp, we’ll explore hits from some of their most popular albums, such as “Dookie,” “Warning,” “Insomniac,” “American Idiot” and beyond. Want to play in a band onstage? Our Rock 101 camp is designed for beginners 7-12 years of age. No experience necessary! Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities. Our nurturing environment makes this the perfect camp for budding musicians. Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the week for family and friends.

We are providing engaging instruction from some of the region’s leading teaching artists. Campers will take classes on Broadway Dance, Acting, Music, Creative Storytelling, Circus Arts and more. Camp Rep is an excellent opportunity to introduce youth to the benefits of arts education and performance. Each camper will have an opportunity to perform, to be celebrated, and to thrive.

Act! Sing! Dance! Introduce your budding star to the fun of musical theatre! Professional teaching artists from STAGES St. Louis will actively engage students using a variety of age-appropriate songs from some of Broadway's classic family friendly musicals that feature BROADWAY KIDS like Annie in Annie, Oliver in Oliver, Matilda in Matilda, Young Simba in The Lion King, Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden or young Cosette in Les Miserables and more. Students will be introduced to basic tools of theatre and performance through engaging theatre games, incorporating props, costumes and performing in a culminating showcase on the last day for families and friends. Important Note: Have children eat lunch before they come. Children who are also participating in the morning camp with Butterfly House will eat lunch at 11:30.
