This week campers will focus on delicious food from Africa: Morocco, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia. What better way to spend a week this summer in a fun, exciting class learning how to cook delicious meals? In our state-of-the-art kitchen, young chefs will enjoy lots of culinary action and tasty delights. This camp will help you learn about measuring ingredients, how to follow a recipe, gardening and harvesting, and how to make healthy choices in food preparation. Every recipe is a creation and every creation an adventure! Chef Margaret Grant will guide you through this culinary experience. Any allergies or dietary restrictions will be taken into account for every recipe used, ensuring that the experience is healthy and fun for all!

Calling all Artists, Scientists and aspiring Chefs - this week is for you! Each day make a masterpiece and learn a little bit of science. Participants will Ice Skate on Tuesday and Thursday and lunch will be provided on Wednesday and Friday. An informational email will be sent out the week before camp. This camp is hosted by Brentwood Parks and Recreation.

Over the course of the week we will engage in activities across multiple intelligences—get ready to cook, build, create, play and imagine the sweet world of candy! Just like a box of chocolates, you never know what surprises lie ahead. New City teachers Jill Speckert and Kathy Zegarra-Ballon will lead this camp.

Spend the morning with a real unicorn and some not-so-real dragons. We will have unicorn and dragon themed crafts and snacks. Take a picture with the unicorn and some exotic bearded dragons. Fee is per child and pre-registration is required.

Students will be cooking with nature in this 5-day camp. Learn about the plants we have in our gardens, how to grow them and use them to make delicious dishes. We will explore our native Missouri plants and learn about their medicinal uses, hunt for wild edibles and learn about chickens. Only hungry kids need apply!
