This introductory course surveys the field and acquaints the student with the major areas of Psychology, including perception, memory, cognition, neuroscience, learning, motivation, emotion, personality, social behavior, development, and psychopathology. PSYC-001. GENERAL PSYCHOLOGY IS A PREREQUISITE FOR ALL OTHER PSYCHOLOGY COURSES.

Camp will take place in person on the Webster University campus in the historic Thompson House.

In this intensive one-week hands on camp, students will bring a developed idea for a short film. This program is a combination of theory and practical experience, as students study the core elements of screenwriting while working in supervised writing labs. Students leave the workshop with a first draft of a short film screenplay. The camp is held at the prestigious LUISS University in the Middle of the Villa Ada park, central Rome, and taught by internationally produced playwright, screenwriter and novelist Colette Freedman. All courses are taught in English.

Students exercise and experiment with Shakespeare’s plots, poetry, and practical jokes in each morning Studio Session.

Students take the stage in the afternoon Performing Session, culminating in an abridged production of As You Like It performed in Shakespeare’s Glen!

Pre-College Design introduces students to the discipline of design, provides a foundation of skills, and gives a clear idea of what to expect from a college-level accredited program. Pre-College Design students will have the opportunity to attend classes taught by full-time Carnegie Mellon faculty where they are given an introduction to the design principles and practices that are the cornerstones of the undergraduate School of Design program.
