Join us for our annual Science with Santa event! Celebrate the season with hands-on learning and holiday cheer. Families can travel between self-led science experiment stations, enjoy a snack, and spend special time with Santa himself! Each station includes easy-to-follow instructions and all the materials you need so you can go at your own pace. Make and take home your own slime, explore light refraction, take on LEGO building challenges, and much more. We’re bringing back fan-favorite experiments from past years and adding exciting new ones for even more scientific fun. More than just a photo op, this event offers a unique opportunity for one-on-one time with Santa while engaging in interactive, educational activities the whole family will love. Adults attend free. Please note: Adult supervision is required at all times during the event.

Looking for a creative and social activity for your young adult at home? This Adaptive Young Adult program is for participants with social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and/or medical needs that require an adaptive program environment for participation (and for parents who are looking for a break in their day). Participants will meet others, get creative with simple art projects, and enjoy light snacks in a relaxed and social setting. Program participant requirements: must be able to meet activities of daily living (toileting, eating/drinking independently) with minimal support and be able to follow program safety and behavior management guidelines with prompting from staff. Unleash your inner rockstar in this 10-week music bootcamp! This dynamic course is designed for aspiring musicians and producers ready to explore the exciting world of music production. Students will dive into the creative process and experience the joy of artistic expression through hands-on learning and expert guidance. The program includes two engaging classes focused on music theory and production, along with an exploration of the evolution of music. Lessons cover key topics such as audio engineering, mixing and mastering, music composition, MIDI configuration, chord identification, and even cord management. Taught by Community Ed instructor John Patinella.

Teen Nights allow teen 13-17 an opportunity to engage with the YMCA in a fun and relaxing way. They include semi-structured programming in the evenings or overnight. Throughout the night YMCA staff provide various actvity options, such as swimming, playing games and hanging out with friends. Staff and attendees contribute to a developmentally appropriate and safe kickback atmosphere allowing teens to connect with peers and trusted adults in a space just for them.

The Bayer YMCA is excited to host a Teen Showcase to highlight the musical talents of our young people ages 12-17 years old! This Showcase provides teens with an opportunity to perform their original music in a supportive environment while building confidence, developing performance skills, and showcasing their creativity through professional media content. Performing artists will also get professional photos, highlight clips they can post to their social media pages, and a full performance video!

Teen Retreat is a safe, non-threatening, supportive, non-judgmental, weekend gathering of teenagers who are grieving the death of someone significant.
