Embark on an around-the-world cultural adventure - explore far-off places and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to the Ivory Coast, from the cosmopolitan to the countryside. Experiment with Crayola® products, while trying art techniques developed by local artists and artisans. Make a different masterpiece each day, including a dot art canvas, a mud art painting on fabric, and an imperial Russian egg! Bring the unique creations home and build a globally-inspired art gallery.

When liquid splashes me, none seeps through, When I’m moved a lot, liquid I spew. When I am hit, color I change. And colors I come in, quite a range. What I cover is quite complex, Yet I am very easy to flex. What am I? Skin! This class is loaded with hands-on activities and exciting discoveries. We will build working models of body systems and perform tests to prove how our parts function. Join us for a fun-filled week of learning and creating!

Design a model to solve a real life problem, then collect data as you test it to determine if your creation is useful and reliable.

Calling all Junior Engineers! Super-Powered is this year's FIRST LEGO® League Explore Challenge and is about designing and building energy solutions of the future. Create a wind turbine, energy storage model, a carousel, and much more to determine what is the best energy solution. Use your imagination and LEGO® Spike Essentials to design and program your new energy solution.

Unleash your creativity and jump into the world of game design with Mario Maker! In this course students will create their own unique Mario levels utilizing techniques used by professional designers.

Create your own stop-motion movie! Learn to insert special effects in films, animation, and more. Students will be able to animate any object and bring it to life. They can also experiment with "freeze-frame" while working with a human subject. Use the Stop Motion Animation App to capture and edit images, add sound, then take your product into iMovie to put it all together.

Have you ever made music with bananas? What about a cardboard electric guitar? Well, you can do all this and more if you come and learn about what conducts electricity and how we can use this knowledge to our advantage. We will make stop lights that work and light up greeting cards. Hope to see you there!

Join us in the Maryville Crime Lab where we will solve puzzles about crimes just like a scientist! Students will engage in hands-on science activities to solve mysteries while looking for clues and collecting evidence. Students will use the same tools as forensic scientistswhile they explore fingerprints, trace evidence, impressions and more!

Build a custom board game with Maryville Interactive Design Instructor, Kelly Smith. In this class, students will play new and fun games to learn what makes a fun and balanced game and then use what they learned to build their own game. Students will take home a complete board game of their own creation at the end of the week.
