Your child's in for an action-packed week focused entirely on rockets and the physics of rocket flight! After learning the model rocket safety code, campers will build different types of rockets and participate in rocket launches during the week-long program. Children will be divided into three groups: altitude trackers, launch preparers, and launchers for rocket launches and will get the opportunity to try different roles. We recommend this camp for children entering 2nd - 5th grade; however, children entering kindergarten and 1st grade will enjoy it as well with a little more help from fellow campers or instructors. Note: We will launch rockets and your child will build several types of rockets. Our camp includes everything your child needs during our camp day.

Roll up your sleeves, put on your makers cap, and get ready to create! This is our most hands-on camp! Campers will build their very own geodesic dome large enough for the entire camp to sit in. Who can build the strongest bridge? Can your bridge withstand the shake rattle and roll challenge? Explore the world of birds and beasts with bird feeder building and our super bug investigation. Speaking of birds, what did Hooty the owl have for dinner? A mouse? A Squirrel? A Frog? Kids will dissect owl pellets and reconstruct Hooty’s dinner. Enter the Mad Science chemistry lab and mix, mash, and brew concoctions to create cool sidewalk chalk and bath fizzers! Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults, simple machines, and megapinchers! Campers will discover the wonders of photography and make their own chromatography-dyed T-shirt. It’s a week packed with non-stop science fun!
