The Princeton Summer Journalism Program is a year-long college preparation program for high school juniors who are interested in journalism. For the summer of 2024, the program will take advantage of lessons learned during our three virtual summers to offer our first ever multi-week, hybrid summer intensive, which will culminate in our annual 10-day residential institute on the Princeton University campus in New Jersey.

Designed for senior high students who play wind, brass and percussion instruments, the primary focus of this program is developing the finest wind ensemble experience and individual artistry as a member of the ISYM Senior Band program.

Our Summer Academy offers academic enrichment courses in mathematics, science, written and oral communication, career research, personal and professional development and activities that support college planning. The Bridge Program Summer Academy is held from mid-June to mid-July for students in grades 9 through 10. Classes meet weekly on UMSL's campus Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Each year, the Mississippi Chinese StarTalk Pathways program provides 30 rising high school freshmen and sophomores in Mississippi and other states with two weeks of intensive instruction in Chinese on the campus of the University of Mississippi.
