Join our Chess Club and learn how to play this great game. More advanced strategies and concepts will be taught to experienced students. This camp includes a chess tournament and a short award ceremony on the final day.

Basic skills, lead up games, conditioning, and defensive/offensive strategies will be stressed during ageappropriate drills and team activities. Our mini fencing camps offer kids a way to dip their toes into the sport of fencing in a place that’s friendly and supportive and allows them to immerse themselves in the sport for a week. This kind of structured, focused attention can go a long way in acclimating a child to an unfamiliar sport as well as supercharging their excitement. In mini camps, everyone is on the same page and at the same level, so they get to go through this journey of starting the sport together. Some of our highest performing fencers started in our beginner camps!

ALERT! Serious slime creations ahead! This camp will allow students the opportunity to create multi-dimensional slime scenes! Campers will be a part of a slime lab and be able to take their slime creation home at the end of the week

Let’s grow some fun this summer! We have plenty of dirt, insects, and plants... we just need to know how they all work together to make something beautiful and often tasty! Come garden with Mr. Gruszka as you learn how to work, compost, care for, and use a garden, big or small. Handson experience and projects will allow you to take your “budding” skills beyond the garden home with you.

Science, engineering, and art join forces to create colorful and sometimes messy projects. This year features our favorite STEAM activities. Make color changing potions and build volcanoes with baking soda and vinegar. Rescue animals from ice and design new habitats for them. Create mazes and engineer marble runs. Explore roller coasters and test slime recipes

We use games and music to keep the energy high all while learning the basic strokes of tennis and pickleball. Your child will have loads of fun learning the many differences and similarities between pickleball and tennis. No standing around in long lines; we are literally moving and grooving from start to end! This class is great for kids of any age and ability as we structure and break up each class accordingly.

Calling all student athletes and future NBA stars. The Rec Academy is putting the “FUN” back in FUNdamentals! Dribbling, shooting, defense, and more. Learn drills, skills, and techniques that will make you a better basketball player, all while having a blast. (Participants grouped by age.)

Children ages 3, 4, and 5 will build, splash, play, create, and dance their way through four one-week sessions of Summer Play Camp. Campers will delight in daily indoor and outdoor activities – including water and sand play! Experienced early childhood teachers and staff from Community School will direct the camp. Campers must have their third birthday by July 1, 2024, and be potty-trained. Full-day campers should bring a non-refrigerated nut-free lunch. Please note that campers may be dropped off as late as 9:00 a.m. or picked up as early as 3:00 p.m. Please note that the week of June 17, there is no camp on Monday, and thus we are offering a discounted rate
