Through a summer camp experience, NextED Challenge provides young adults an opportunity to challenge their expectations of living on their own. Attendees participate in hands-on learning, interactive group activities, and community exploration.

This no cost, online course, is taught by Anthony Mampilly at STEM Success. Students will improve academic performance, engaging in STEM activities to enhance students critical thinking, problem-solving, and analyticla skills. Outcomes of STEM contribute to lifelong learning.

Chess Summer Camps are the perfect way to introduce the game of chess to new students, deepen understanding of the game for established players, or offer intensive instruction for aspiring chess masters. Grandmaster instructors provide daily lessons, puzzles, and play to help guide students through each session.

Join us for the 2024 Ladue Schools Camp Legacy summer camp.

This ever popular theme is coming back for another summer! Drawing inspiration from movies and games, this session will focus on building obstacle courses, problem solving, riddles, games, and improvisational engineering. We will utilize several indoor and outdoor spaces to design and create fun and exciting initiatives that foster creativity and movement.  Activities may include creating obstacle courses, improvisational engineering challenges, Among Us game initiatives, paper airplane / airplane design and contests, golf shot challenges, frisbee trick shots, scavenger hunts and orienteering. 

Campers will explore the state park system in Missouri and southern Illinois. We will investigate and highlight the unique geological features and ecosystems within these parks and conservation areas. Additionally, campers will visit a state park where they will have the opportunity to play, hike, and explore. At the end of the session, campers will create a personal list of state parks that they want to visit with their families after camp has ended. They will develop an itinerary complete with park locations, attractions, and directions to share with their families.

Campers, bring your spirit for adventure as we explore our natural environment and learn how to build primitive shelters and forts, and use specific plants as cordage, connectors, and supports for these structures. Activities may include basic nature/environmental education such as plant identification and animal tracking/study, to age-appropriate survival skills and primitive shelter building. Campers will gain confidence and comfort  being outdoors, while having a great time and staying active. 

Join us for a week of archery, sports, games, and accuracy challenges! Voyager campers will learn the basics of the Genesis compound bow before heading to the range for practice. If you did this camp last year, we have an extra instructor that will help you improve upon the skills gained last summer. Explorers and Adventurers will engage in individual and cooperative games. Sports and games may include soccer, basketball, bowling, bocce, putt putt challenges, soft/magnetic darts, pool noodle tag, and more.

During this shortened, four-day week, campers will head to various locations on campus to play classic backyard and indoor party games. The field, gym, and, dining room, and theater, will all be utilized to play games like croquet, frisbee golf, badminton, bags, washers, hot foot, and ping pong, to name a few. Although there will be no off-campus field trip this week, campers will swim on Wednesday and Friday.

Choose to be funny, silly, or dramatic, and show off your unique talents in this fun, upbeat, and supportive environment. Utilizing our theater and stage,  campers will have the opportunity to perform skits, engage in dramatic play, improvisation, dance, and comedy routines. Additionally, campers will record and edit their performances to share with family and friends. This is a challenge by choice activity and other opportunities will be available during stage time. 

Join us for an experience you will never forget, as we chase the spirit of America’s favorite pastime through the heartland! We’ll head north and catch a minor league baseball game in Peoria, IL. Next, we’ll travel to Iowa to watch two classic movies about baseball (“The Sandlot” and “Field of Dreams”) at one of the two remaining drive-in theaters in the state. The following day we’ll play a baseball game on the actual baseball field that was built and featured in the “Field of Dreams” movie. In addition to our baseball focused activities, we will also break up the drive by stopping to explore caves at Maquoketa Caves State Park as well as taking some leisurely breaks at various swimming holes along the route.

Campers use the exciting adventures of Superman, Batman, Mr. Incredible, and Spiderman to inspire their own superhero identities. We create capes, masks, and special superhero gadgets; move like superheroes who fly through the air, stick to the ceiling, and walk through walls; and imagine stories about the heroes’ everyday lives.

Join us for Tennis the Menace and Dinkasaurus Pickleball, where Tennis and Pickleball combine into one! Games and music keep the energy high while children learn the basic strokes of tennis and pickleball. Your child will have loads of fun learning the many differences and similarities between Pickleball and Tennis. No standing around in long lines––we are moving and grooving from start to end! We tailor each class to the age and ability level of our campers.

Each day we will play drama games, build set pieces, learn the basics of acting and stage combat, and watch a Broadway musical. Can't wait to see you on stage!
