Participants will use their creativity and imagination to create and play as their very own character in LitShop’s highly-anticipated inaugural D&D campaign. Come in costume, get into character, and have fun while fighting foes and finding treasure. The sky is the limit (and not even then) when it comes to starting this journey together. This workshop will help students expand their creativity, teamwork, leadership, and decision-making skills while they traverse the lands and work together to complete their missions.

Using and becoming comfortable with computers is one of the most valuable skills that a child can learn to get ahead. Getting an early start with computers can help you succeed in school and develop critical thinking skills that open up endless possibilities. In Digital Discovery, you’ll get a head start learning to type, using computer programs, and coding with Scratch™!

Gain great experience with computer science using Scratch™, a program designed by the MIT Media Lab, to code, create, and share projects. Scratch uses a custom programming language that is easy to understand. By moving and combining blocks of code, you will be able to develop your own super cool animation projects. You can even make your animations interactive by including instructions, designing the character’s costumes, adding unique background images and sounds, and programming characters to dance, sing, talk, and more!

Ready to invent? Gadgets and Gizmos is a fantastic “maker space” experience for young innovators ages 6–10, giving you the freedom and tools to create your own unique contraptions. Face open-ended challenges, like building a device to send a secret message, and tackle them using a huge variety of materials, including simple electronic components, fun paper circuits, and easy-to-use Micro:bits for coding interactive features. The focus is less on following step-by-step instructions and more on empowering inventors by guiding you through the entire engineering design process, brainstorming, prototyping, testing, and redesigning, allowing them to solve problems in their own spectacular and inventive ways.

Discover the secrets of Pokémon™, while creating the ultimate team. Learn strategies to excel in friendly battles and emerge victorious! Join in Pokémon card games using your own decks and online simulators at camp, in addition to competing against AI and other students! You’ll also learn how to take your Pokémon skills to the next level by learning what Pokémon types and moves are effective against your opponents. Each day, discover new and improved strategies to maximize your Pokémon team’s potential. Exciting tournaments take place each week! At the beginning of the week, you’ll receive your very own set of Pokémon cards and a binder to hold them. Throughout the week, you’ll get to open booster packs, trade with other students, and use your cards to play with other students as well. At the end of the week, you can take home your binder with all of the Pokémon cards you have collected.

At our robotics camp, you will learn the fundamentals of robotics by getting hands-on experience with LEGO® Robots. Explore the principles of robotics and coding by imagining and creating your own robots, in addition to following instructions for specific robots provided by LEGO. You will then be able to add a wide variety of sensors and motors to your robot before programming it. Participate in a camp tournament called ROBOWARS on Friday each week.
