Girls STEAM Camp is a four-day program designed for middle school students to explore science, technology, engineering, agriculture, and math during the summer break from school.

The Young Writers Conference at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is a two-day program designed to give high school and Jr. college students the chance to explore and develop their talents in poetry and prose writing. Students will hone their writing skills by participating in sessions led by SIU Carbondale faculty, and by attending panels, readings, and craft discussions led by SIU creative writing faculty, SIU graduate students, and specially selected guest writers.

The Aviation Flight program at SIU Carbondale offers this week-long aviation camp designed to give interested high school students an opportunity to experience first-hand the thrill of flight. Summer Wings offers those attending the chance to explore a career as a pilot by providing ground and flight training similar to the training that SIU flight students undergo.

Get creative with clay! Discover wheel throwing and hand-building techniques to create a unique themed set. Students will learn how to make plates, bowls, cups, clay food, and other items for the table. Each day will focus on different items to add to the decorative and functional table setting. The class will learn to add color with underglaze and glaze. Finished works will be available for pick up approximately 2 – 3 weeks after camp after the final glaze firing.

Explore the age of technique of papermaking, printmaking, and bookbinding. This week camp will learn to make our own paper using molds and deckles from paper pulp to plant fiber. We will use our handmade paper for drawing on, collage and to print. to create a colorful creative artist book.

While the camps are designed for ages 11-14, we encourage players of all ages to inquire about joining. Whether one camp or both align with your goals, we’re happy to explore options and ensure the best fit for your young athlete!

Campers will enjoy age-appropriate arts and crafts, sports, swimming, structured play, and a variety of fun children’s games. Each week features its own creative and exciting theme to keep your little ones engaged and having a blast.

Join us & Elite FT for Soccer Camp. Campers will be led by an expert team of trainers from Elite FT in a wide variety of soccer drills. This camp is great for beginner/intermediate soccer players to develop their skills. Campers MUST be dropped off at Community Park and will be bused to and from the Family Sports Park each day.
