At Camp, Variety Kids are empowered to form friendships, try new things, grow in self-esteem, and explore the world around them with independence and confidence. Variety’s Adventure Camps are for ages 4 – 20, and provide an unforgettable experience for local children and teens with disabilities living in the 30 Missouri and Illinois counties Variety St. Louis serves. Each camper is paired with a counselor “buddy” to ensure their needs are met each day. Campers are split into groups based on age to enjoy activities geared more toward their interests. Activities include swimming, ice skating, fishing, playing games, making crafts, music time, visiting area attractions and much more, all under the guidance of a caring and enthusiastic staff.

Our weeklong camp allows neurodiverse individuals aged 17 years and older to simulate a week of academic and vocational workshops, and self-determination and social skills building activities. Participants have the option to stay overnight on-campus or commute to and from camp. The typical camp day begins at 7 AM and ends at 10 PM.

First Fridays for Kids Grades K-5th 6-8:30pm. (Long enough for YOU to have a night out!) Each month, the project will be different, so you can do as many months as you want!

Rising K-7th Graders Welcome! Led by Whitfield faculty, staff, and The Whitfield School counselors, campers engage in hands-on activities, projects, and experiments each day. Campers will engage in an array of activities, including: outdoor adventures, sports/games, STEAM, leadership/team building, creative arts, and technology.

Our STEM Camp is a hands-on, project-based experience where students explore science, technology, engineering, and math in fun and meaningful ways. Campers will work with a variety of tools and materials to design, build, and test their ideas while tackling creative challenges that encourage curiosity and innovation.

Open to rising 3-8th graders. Get ready to jump, dance, and cheer your way through summer at Whitfield’s Cheer and Dance Camp! This exciting camp is perfect for young athletes who want to develop their cheer and dance skills while building confidence, teamwork, and spirit. With two weeks to choose from—or the option to join both—you’ll experience dynamic coaching, fun activities, and an unforgettable week of energy and creativity.

Who wants to ROCK THE SSAT?! Everyone! This week-long morning camp is designed to help students build skills, confidence, and strategies for success on the SSAT exam. Students will get an overview of all sections while strengthening their abilities in: Test-taking skills and strategies Analogies Creative writing Synonyms and Antonyms Quantitative Reasoning Reading comprehension …and much more!

Wonderland Camp has given children, teenagers and adults with disabilities the opportunity to come to camp for over 50 years. We’re here for the friendships, the encouragement and the high-fives!
