The lessons of this camp span the worlds of magic, circus, comedy, science, and gags. We learn many impromptu skills such as how to balance a sheet of newspaper on your nose, and make a catapult out of a spoon, a paperclip float, a Mentos geyser, and much more. This is a perfect camp for the future class clown or anyone who loves to be just a little bit silly. Clowning Around concludes with an in-person performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp.

Campers are introduced to improvisation, prompts, characters, and theatre games designed to create "on the spot" scenes and. stories. Through the games and scene work, students learn skills, such as being present and aware on stage, listening to fellow actors, and working collaboratively while creating unique (and often hilarious) characters, situations, and scenes. COCA Improv Project concludes with an in-person sharing for families and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp.

Learn to draw the lovable 6-year-old dog who loves to play! We work on character drawings of Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, and all their friends. Then, capture the curiosity and energy of the characters as we learn to draw scenes of their family and create a storyboard. We also make adventure maps and even sculpt a scene out of model magic. Creating Bluey concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Designed for campers who want to learn how to draw the popular manga style Japanese animation, anime. Campers learn this technique of drawing facial expressions, hands, hair, clothing folds, and objects. Then, we use new skills to develop our own characters and stories. Japanese manga is utilized in a broad range of genres: action-adventure, romance, sports, comedy, science fiction, or mystery. How will campers use it to create work that reflects their point of view and personal style?

Campers learn about the fashion design process from design concepts to building garments. We practice rendering and illustration, learn basic machine and hand sewing techniques, and build some simple garments we design ourselves. The possibilities are endless in this exciting introduction to fashion camp. Fashion Design concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

From Van Gogh to Miró, master artists can provide tremendous inspiration to help young artists explore new mediums, styles, and subject matter for their own work. Each day, campers learn about a different artist as we look at our own artwork, then create work inspired by the artist’s life, artistic technique, medium, or subject matter. Go Van Gogh concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Swing with the sounds, stomp to the beats, and let your imagination go! Campers are introduced to the world of poetry through rhythm and movement, stomping beats, writing spoken word poetry, and creating illustrations—using all the arts disciplines to inspire and develop their expressive voice. Aspiring performers are introduced to the basics of stage makeup by learning about face shapes and introductory makeup application. Campers learn about shade matching and the differences and uses between powder and creme products. Intro to Stage Makeup concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's work sent the week following camp.

Students learn how to fuel their adventures by creating their own magical sweets. Along the way, they learn basic kitchen safety and develop new cooking skills. Information about food restrictions or allergies must be provided to COCA during the registration process or by contacting the Registration Office by email at least two weeks prior to camp. Campers should have their hair pulled back. All culinary supplies and groceries included in price.

Learn a new art medium by weaving and knotting. Using macrame cord, campers create intricate designs in wall hanging, bracelets, and other accessories to spice up their world. Macrame Designs concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Open the magic trunk and let your imagination soar! One day, we discover a pirate's costume or fantastic sunken treasure. Another day, we find fairy dust and jewels. Campers use their found treasures to inspire them as they move, sing, and create their own adventure. Come join us to discover what the magic trunk contains! Magic Trunk concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Create a scary or funny monster movie! Working in small groups, campers collaboratively write, direct, film, and act in each other's films. They build the costumes, props, and environment to enhance their tales. Students create makeup and special effects to include in their films. Monster Matinee concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's work sent the week following camp. Campers spend their week collecting gold coins like they are inside a video game as they explore obstacle courses and scavenger hunts. They create their own characters, then dodge piranha plants, have a relay race with Luigi, and work to save Princess Peach. On the final day of camp, we challenge parents on an adventure we create ourselves. Oh Yeah! Mario Time! concludes with an in-person adventure for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.
