Inspired by land/eco-artists such as Andy Goldsworthy and Richard Long, students explore fine art projects that respect and celebrate our natural world. Students gather materials to create art projects from COCA's grounds. They make and use dyes from materials found in nature, create natural light prints, and build sculptural projects using seeded paper pulp and other naturally produced materials. Eco Art concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Campers work on the basics of plot and characterization as we improvise short scenes based on classic stories, fairy tales, and current pop culture. We formalize some of our best ideas into short written scenes to refine, revise, and rehearse. Beginner through intermediate level dancers learn spacing, rhythm, dance counts, and high-energy group choreography using hip-hop dance elements, such as breakdancing and pop locking. We also explore the element of freestyle and create a hip-hop “crew” name. Fundamentals of Hip-Hop concludes with a high-energy performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp.

Gabby's Cats concludes with an in-person performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp. Campers put them all together into fun and lively choreography to family-friendly songs like "Better When I'm Dancin'," then create crafts to use as props in their performance. No previous experience required. Happier Dancing concludes with an in-person production for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp.

Explore the marvels of sand and sea in this camp for island enthusiasts. We practice our hula dance, tie-dye shirts, string shark tooth necklaces, and discover the rich cultures that exist on islands, such as Hawaii, Fiji, and Saint Lucia. Island Hopping concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Jazz up your summer and back to school looks with jewelry designed and made by you! You create brightly-colored sculpey clay beads to use in necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings. You also learn to work with jewelry wire, beads, and even incorporate fabrics and found materials into your creations. Jewelry Jazz concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

If your child loves LEGO, this camp is their chance to bring LEGO creations to life! We work in groups to develop simple storyboards, stage the building blocks, and learn how to use stop motion animation techniques as we shoot footage to develop into a short film. Legomation Basics concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's work sent the week following camp. Art and technology supplies and equipment use included in price.

May the Force Be with You concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Join us for our teen summer camp musical: Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical JR. This musical shares a bittersweet but inspiring story of a group of friends dreaming of a better life. All students who register will be cast in a role in the musical. This show will be performed for family and friends on Friday, June 26 at 7:00PM. Join us for the most creative, playful experience to be had in any kitchen! Create favorites like individual size, "make your own" pizza, and "everything" cookies. Then, get your hands dirty as we create food sculptures and food art! Students personalize aprons, learn about kitchen safety, and practice basic kitchen skills. Information about food restrictions or allergies must be provided to COCA during the registration process or by contacting the Registration Office by email at least two weeks prior to camp. Campers must adhere to kitchen safety rules. Campers should have their hair pulled back. All culinary supplies and groceries included in price.

Explore your favorite little ponies, such as Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie, or create your own pony identity through visual art projects and creative drama. We draw, paint with watercolors, and sculpt. Then, we use our original and familiar characters to create an exciting adventure focusing on the magic of friendship. Ponyville concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently.
