From fizzy, gassy reactions and bubbling concoctions to the mysteries of burps, boogers, and blood, campers will explore the science behind some of the messiest—and most amazing—phenomena. Along the way, they’ll dive into chemistry, biology, and even a little forensic science, with plenty of hands-on experiments and take-home projects.

Ready to take control? Become an RC pilot in this high-energy program! Master flying drones and racing RC cars, design epic racing courses, and compete in thrilling challenges that test your piloting skills. Learn about engineering, aerodynamics, and teamwork while navigating obstacle courses and completing flight-based missions. This program combines hands-on drone flying and RC car racing with active, movement-based games that keep you moving and engaged throughout every session!

Dive into a dynamic week of percussion at Percussion Camp! Open to students of all levels, this program provides hands-on instruction in snare drum, drum set, timpani, mallets, world percussion, steel drums, and concert percussion. A brief placement audition on the first day ensures each student receives instruction tailored to their skill level, from beginner to advanced. No audition is required to register.

Experience a week of chamber music study at Chamber Music Camp! This program is best suited for those with at least three years of experience on violin, viola, cello, double bass, or piano. Participants will engage in daily chamber ensemble rehearsals, sectionals, and technique classes led by Butler Community Arts School faculty and Teaching Artists. The program also includes masterclasses, personalized coaching sessions, and college-style courses such as music theory and electives. The week concludes with a final performance highlighting the achievements of each ensemble. String players and bassists must bring their own instruments, pianos will be provided.
