Aspiring performers are introduced to the basics of stage makeup by learning about face shapes and introductory makeup application. Campers learn about shade matching and the differences and uses between powder and creme products. Let your imagination soar as you discover your creative potential in the kitchen! We explore some of your favorite flavors and invent some new ones. We make our very own pizzas with our favorite topping and add "everything" to cookies. We play with our food as we make fantastic garnishes and decorative plates for our dishes. Along the way, we learn about kitchen safety and practice basic kitchen skills. Information about food restrictions or allergies must be provided to COCA during the registration process or by contacting the Registration Office by email at least two weeks prior to camp. Campers should have their hair pulled back. All culinary supplies and groceries included in price.

Designed as an introduction to machine sewing, campers learn fundamental machine sewing skills, such as threading a needle, winding a bobbin, and seaming, as they explore types of stitches and stitch accuracy. Students practice using the machine to create simple sewing projects and improve their sewing skills. Machine Sewing Techniques concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Pop down the rabbit hole and peek through the looking glass for wild and wacky fun in Wonderland. We'll read versions of the famous story, become favorite crazy characters (or create our own), paint tea cups, design invitations, and celebrate a "Very, Merry Un-Birthday" on the final day of camp. Mad Hatter Tea Party concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Do you want to take your interest in manga drawings to the next level? We refine our techniques in drawing cartoons and characters in the Japanese manga style. Then, we scan our drawings and use the COCA iPads to animate our characters and bring the stories we imagine to life. We conclude the camp with a manga scavenger hunt "raid" through the COCA building. Using QR codes to embed our animations, we highlight the artistic work we completed in a fun activity for the family. Manag Go concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. The magic in Oz never fails as we work together to put on a show. One Short Day concludes with an in-person performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp. In this story-building camp, campers explore pixilation, a style of stop motion animation that uses campers as the models. We start with laying out the basics of storytelling, and then use the uniqueness and challenges of pixilation to visually share these stories by making props and costumes and filming in interesting locations in and around COCA. Pixilation concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's work sent the week following camp.

In the spirit of books, films, and stories such as The Hunger Games and television series like The Walking Dead, campers create a movie narrative about a futuristic, post-apocalyptic world and crisis. You write the script, scout locations in and around COCA, direct, perform, shoot, and edit your movie. Post-Apocalyptic Filmmaking concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's work the sent the week following camp. Sassafras Solutions concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Speak Up concludes with an in-person performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp.

Can't wait for the next superhero movie to come out? Students in this camp make their own! They work in small groups to develop classic or original superheroes and villains. They build the costumes, sets, props, and environment to help tell the adventure. They also work in small groups to write the story, cast the film, scout locations, film, and even learn a little editing. Superhero Movie Making I concludes with families receiving a digital link to the films created in the camp.

Transform thrift store garments into high fashion creations! Campers visit a COCA "thrift store" to find garments to build into high fashion. Then, they go where their creative ideas take them. Turn a polyester blouse and pair of paisley pants into a purse and a men’s shirt into a cute dress. We focus on generating creative ideas, as well as machine and hand sewing skills, learning a wide range of techniques to add decorative embellishment to our creations. Thrift & Find Fashion concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.
