The lessons of this camp span the worlds of magic, circus, comedy, science, and gags. We learn many impromptu skills, such as how to balance a sheet of newspaper on our nose and make a catapult out of a spoon, a Mentos geyser, and much more. This is the perfect camp for the future class clown or anyone who loves to be just a little bit silly. Class Clown concludes with an in-person demonstration for family and friends the final 20 minutes of camp.

Want to learn how they made The Boxtrolls or Shaun the Sheep? We try it step by step. Working in small teams, we write a short scene, create a corresponding storyboard, and build clay characters and a set to bring it all to life through the video art of claymation. Claymation concludes with families receiving a digital link of their camper's work sent the week following camp. Art and technology supplies and equipment use included in price.

Through improvisation and theatre games, campers develop original, hilarious characters and situations. We explore a variety of conventions and formats used to write and create popular comedic material; then, we consider comic timing as they perform their sketches and scenes for one another. COCA Sketch Comedy concludes with an in-person performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp.

Learn about the costume design process by reading Shrek The Musical KIDS and creating ideas for character looks and garments. We explore images of costume designs from a variety of styles, practice rendering and illustration, learn to measure and fit costumes to actors, and create a sourced costume from costume storage. We learn hand and machine sewing technique while we build accessories and costume pieces that will appear in COCA's production of Shrek The Musical KIDS.

Future songwriters work with a professional songwriter/musician to create lyrics and melodies that express their ideas. They select accompaniment on the piano or guitar and can even choose to have other campers sing back-up vocals. They rehearse our collective and individually composed songs and then take a field trip to record them at Clayton Studios. They also work on graphics associated with our songs and style. Demo Creations concludes with families receiving a digital link of their camper's work sent the week following camp. Price includes field trip and studio use.

Let's set sail to another world where dragons guard ancient castles and fairies protect fantastical forests. Pick your favorite character and create a world and story all your own. Draw and paint your own creations, and then with creative play, bring them to life. Dragons Fairies & Pirates Oh My! concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.

Express yourself! Campers tap into their creativity as they transform plain white T-shirts, basic skirts, and other items to new garments and personal items. A skirt becomes a bag! A T-shirt becomes a dress! Campers further alter and decorate to reflect their personal style using fabric dyeing and beadwork. They add design elements and fit their items using both basic machine and hand sewing. No previous experience required. Fashion Makeover concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Calling all aspiring filmmakers, it is time to pitch an idea! We write our own movie adventures and film them using the COCA campus as our "studio set." We work with our classmates to cooperatively plan, direct, stage, shoot, and edit a digital video film using those fellow campers as performers. Designed for high-energy kids, this camp introduces basic jazz and hip-hop moves. They learn rhythm and musicality, spacing, and even invent a few moves of their own! Campers put them all together into fun and lively choreography to family-friendly songs like "Better When I'm Dancin'," then create crafts to use as props in their performance. No previous experience required. Happier Dancing concludes with an in-person production for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp.

Campers focus their work on learning horror stage makeup techniques to transform into characters from haunted houses. Horror Makeup concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's transformations sent the week following camp.
