Play it Safe is the perfect next step for kids ages 6-8 who want to continue learning about safety! Led by Officer Bob, this program expands on the lessons from Safety Town, with each day focusing on a different important safety topic including one day at Aquaport to learn about water safety. It’s a hands-on, engaging way for children to deepen their understanding of how to stay safe in a variety of situations.

The City of Lake Saint Louis and St. Charles County have partnered together to provide a summer camp program. Camp Covey at Quail Ridge Park is a fun-filled weekly outdoor program that is designed for children ages 6 to 10. Six-year-olds must have completed kindergarten in order to participate in camp. For those entering 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade in the fall of 2025. Join us for one of five fun sessions of Advanced LEGOs Engineering Camp! Camp projects will include a street cleaner, disk car, hand-held crane, mechanical hammer, disk speedster, balance, balance with the dial, windmill, sail car, motorized go-cart, motorized rail, motorized walking stick, motorized dog, motorized crane, weighted crane, motorized dragster, mobile crane, tow truck, helicopter, and an airplane. There will also be a take-home project, as well as challenging creative time. New projects will explore renewable energy sources; investigate energy supply, transfer, accumulation, conversion, and consumption; and use measurements and data analysis to describe and explain outcomes through hands-on activities.

Campers will be involved in creating engaging learning experiences in science, literacy, math, and social studies. Using the LEGO Education WeDo hardware and software, in combination with these activities, students will be inspired to think critically, problem-solve, and be creative. Activities cover the Wild Animals theme models: Hungry Alligator, Flying Bir,d, and Roaring Lion. Mathematics, literacy, science, and social studies activities will be incorporated for each model as well as standards covering visual arts, dramatic arts, music, physical education, and technology. There will also be a take-home project, as well as challenging creative time.

Challenge to Excellence (C2E) Summer Camp is an immersive and engaging week-long experience for middle and high school students. This residential and commuter camp blends academic enrichment with creative expression, cultural exploration, and recreational activities. Campers participate in hands-on classes ranging from the science of learning and astronomy to 3D printing, theatre, and geology.

High school band students will be seated based on their camp auditions and prior experience. Renowned teachers from Illinois and neighboring states will conduct ensembles and teach master classes. All students will be featured in a performance on the final day of camp
